I did not want to spend the extra cash on a SDS Max when I was only going to drill only one or two holes. I knew it was not recommended to use a SDS plus for a poured 4-6 inch concrete slab. I bought a cheap concrete 4 inch wide hole saw bit. The drill did not complain at all with a dry drilling. It was fun and only took 30 minutes. For less than $200 this is my new go to drill. Not too large or loud. All the functions work fine. Would recommend!

I had the daunting task of drilling 50 holes in concrete. I tried a normal drill and after a minute of drilling achieved only 1/8″ depth, so I picked up this baby. Each hole took about 4 seconds to drill. I was very happy! It’s nice to have good tools, and I highly recommend the Milwaukee.

I’ve only used this Hammer Drill for one project so far, but I was very happy with the ease of use and its performance. Came away saying to myself – how easy a project can be when you have the right tool.

Works great. Heavy duty. Good grips and easy bit replacement. Im using this to remove glued down hard wood flooring to concrete. For 3 days now this roto hammer has been running non stop for about 3-4 hours a day. Selector switch starting to stick a little bit, probably from all the dust so time will tell if that becomes a problem. As for performance and durabilty with the motor ive gotten it pretty hot for long periods of time and it keeps on kicking or hammering.

The drill is great for a light to medium duty drill hammer, it works much faster than the Ridged and the DeWalt however we are putting it to some heavy use and it will be interesting to see how it handles the job

I have a cordless hammer drill. tried to drill small holes to attach wood to half basement walls. was useless. we knew we had a lot of lathe to attach to walls to finish basement. This drill ate through the concrete like a hot knife through butter. Five seconds to bore a 1/2 inch hole 6 inches deep. It’s now my favorite tool!

This thing is a thoroughbred concrete hole drilling demon compared to what I had before. Try 1/2 in to size by 3.5 in and bang the anchor in in about one minute.

Bought to drill a 1″ hole in our 8″ thick basement wall. Job was finished in less then five minutes, that included long pauses to cool the bit in water. It felt like i could have just kept going but didnt want to risk burning up the bit. It wanted to eat right thru the wall.

Rotary Hammer up to Milwaukee’s usual high standards. Drilling concrete, chipping out mortar or knocking out bigger chunks are a breeze with this tool. Good weight to work with for serious chunks of time.
