Solid unit, decent power and lightweight. The trigger on my older Makita wore out and this unit with pistol style grip and handle is a nice replacement for tearing out tile.

Purchased this drill to attach 40 pews to the floor of my church sanctuary. Drilling though Porcelain tile and deep down 4 inches into the concrete beneath. I used a 8″ x 1/4″ concrete bit. Drilled dozens and dozens of holes over course of several days without a problem. To avoid the bit “wable” other reviewers noticed I realized you need to press down and release the bit from its upward hammer in and out cycle, then the pit spins up without any “wable”.Great tool…. cut through the tile and the concrete like butter and did not get noticeable hot.

Have the Hilti Te-7 and I wasn’t impressed with the speed of the drill. Was in Home Depot and stumbled onto the Miwaukee 5/8 hammer drill and purchased it because the price was right. Took it to work and I love it. It was fast and it hits good! GREAT PRODUCT THUS FAR!!!!

This drill is awesome for being light weight and works like the big rotary hammer drills, I do a lot of concrete drilling, drilling holes upto 1 1/2″ deep using 3/16 tap con drill bits

Now I may sound like a Milwaukee sales rep but I am not affiliated or sponsored by them in any way. I use this machine daily for overhead and general drilling of 6-8mm (1/4″-3/8″) holes in high quality concrete on a major hospital construction site site. We picked this model after a sales rep let us test it alongside other larger Milwaukee models. We where surprised of the drilling efficiency of this small, low weight model. The actuall model we have is the 230V equivalent, the PLH 20. We drill mostly in concrete hollow beams with a wall thickness of around 2″ and with 6mm and 8mm drill bits. As it turns out, this aggressive little machine is faster than the other machines we have compared with so far, mains driven and rechargeable, new and old, including significantly larger machines from DeWalt, Hilti, Bosch, Makita etc. The small Milwaukee breaks through in about 3-5 seconds while others typically need 6-12 seconds! The only negative thing I have to say is not about the machine itself, but the lack of an available integrated dust removal, preferably one that builds on the strengths of this machine; its small size and low weight.

I have always liked Milwaukee tools and have owned quite a few so I knew this rotary hammer drill would be a good buy. I was a little worried because it is on the small side for a rotary hammer drill but price point was the deciding factor. My worries faded away on the first hole I drilled, this little rotary hammer drill made drilling in concrete easy and fast. I do have to say that I did not go cheap on the masonry bit and that helped also.I will see over time how this drill performs but for now it was a very good purchase.
