Best in its class, I used it for demo work to do some electrical pipping and it worked like a charm. The concrete drilling option is also great to use, it runs trabajo concrete like butter. The only bad thing I have to say is that the first one I bought started to have problems with the chuck.

Is very good drill,strong, excelent.

This little guy hits a lot harder than the Bosch RH328 of the same size. I needed a smaller hammer for tile removal and this one does a fine job of tile and thinset removal.

Great tool overallI have used most of the other brands. Did my research and this was the best in class, highest rpm at 1500 with others around 1000 and with 3.6 ft lb. others of this size only having around 2.5, It was the best choice. You get what you pay for, yes this was a little higher price. I got this to drill holes in large rocks to split with wedges and feathers. With either 1/2″ or 5/8″ bits it with drill 8″ in less minute. I need to put some anchors in concrete for a car lift, this will be my tool of choice. The way it handles 5/8″ I’m sure 3/4″or even 1″ will be no match for this.also has the best warranty 5yrsgot hooked on Milwaukee when I tried the M18 series of cordless tools

So far we are pleased with our decision to buy the Milwaukee SDS Plus Rotary Hammer after comparing the similar tool made by other companies. The Milwaukee just had more of what we needed and we were willing to pay the small difference for a more durable product. VRM

Just so you know, I purchased this tool exactly 15 days ago, so I am unable to consider durability as a factor in my rating. That would be true for any tool from any manufacturer with only 15 days of use, not just the Milwaukee 1-1/8 in. SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer. Having said that I am totally satisfied with my choice so far, and so is my son. The primary reason I chose the Milwaukee 5268-21 was it’s compact size and light weight. My son is a networking engineer, and my old Milwaukee Hammer Drill he uses was stolen from a worksite in April. He has been borrowing my Bosh Rotary Hammer that weighs about 15 pounds. He was thrilled with the speed and efficiency that it drilled through masonry, but I know the Bosch is overkill, and vastly overweight for the type of work he does. So I decided to get him the Milwaukee 5268-21 for his birthday. Before I ordered it I told him to choose a light weight Rotary Hammer, and together this is the one we decided on. He used it every day last week running fiber optic cable in masonry construction at a new school. He is absolutely in love with this tool, and stated that he much prefers using it over the 15 pound Bosch. No surprise there. The 15 pound Bosch is much better suited for drilling holes for floor anchors than it is for horizontal or overhead drilling. The largest diameter holes he has drilled so far are 7/8″ horizontally through sand filled 8″ concrete block walls for 1/2″ conduit. He said took longer to push the conduit through the sand filled block than it took to drill the holes. I tried out the hammer function when I replaced some broken cast aluminum crawl space vents in a brick veneer home built in the 1950’s. It did an excellent job chipping out the mortar surrounding the old vents. This tool is so well balanced and easily controlled that I almost enjoyed using it. LOL, when you are 67 years old, it takes a lot to enjoy replacing crawl space vents, but this tool came close. I highly recommend the Milwaukee 5268-21 for an all purpose Rotary Hammer for light to medium duty use. The only improvement would be the storage case. The case does an great job protecting the tool, but it has no provision for bit storage. You will need an additional bag or tool box to store your bits in. Knowing that, I would absolutely buy this tool again.

I have a project that is not due to be done until next year. So I have only done some preliminarytesting. With a chisel it split some concrete block very well. I also bought a i/2″ chuck with an sdsshank. With the sds shank the drill chuck has the same play, up and down, that any tool with sdsshank has. I would have preferred that the rotary hammer came with a chuck attachment, or hadone available that would replace the existing sds chuck. I like the quality of the tool and expectit will break the concrete walk and drill holes in concrete for anchors that I expect it will do. It couldalso use a removable guide bracket that would hold it perpendicular to the surface that a hole wasto be drilled in concrete. There is a stop and it is well designed, but does not insure that the toolis held perpendicular while drilling.

I needed to break the grout on an outside patio. This Milwaukee hammer did an unbelievable job. Uses a 1 1/8 drill bit. This is a great tool for any DIYER and even for the PRO who does this every day. It can take a great load of work. Other hammers i have had such as DEWALT have smoked out after a hard days work. I used this all day with out any issues. I rather pay more for one tool then to buy 3 different ones over the lifetime. Milwaukee is truly and industry leader. Spend the money now.

Is a great rotary hammer. The compact design helps in those tight areas, and the vibration dampness works well.

It did exactly what I was hoping. It blew through a 7 inch block wall so I could run wiring in my home.

There’s a lot to love with this Rotary Hammer! I tend to find that tools often come in wither good looks/ergonomics but poor durability/use/power & vice-versa. This tool is quite the opposite! At first glance, the tool shows a great deal of thought in the ergonomics realm of design yet picking it up makes the durability shine thru. During my first few uses it was quite clear that this is the type of drill you can use for long periods of time without fatigue. The cushioned grip & adjustable side handle makes for a comfortable use without placing the pulsing hammer action back on the wrist & hands despite the hefty 7.5# stature. The adjustable, no-tool depth stop is an added feature allowing the user to set a desired drill depth & repeat from hole-to-hole. The no-tool chuck adds to the overall quality use & feel. Power & “mode” adjustment allows the user a level of customization replacing what could have easily been two different tools. As a DIY home user, this tool fits right in with about anything I could ever need or want to do around the home. I could see that the features, durability and adaptability of this tool would be quality features a PRO could use and enjoy.
