The MILWAUKEE Dry Coring Dust Extraction Attachment allows users to be OSHA compliant when drilling with larger diameter rotary hammer bits or core bits. The drill dust shroud works with the Milwaukee 8 Gal. Dust Extractor (8960-20) to eliminate dust when users are drilling or dry coring with bits up to 6 in. in diameter. The vacuum suction allows the dust shroud attachment to stick to the wall or ground allowing users to easily and accurately drilling and coring.

Milwaukee’s Dry Coring dust extraction attachment is used to contain dust while using Core drills or Rotary Hammer drills. It is OSHA compliant for drilling diameters from one to six inches when used in conjunction with a dust extractor vacuum. The drilling side comes with a removable/replaceable brush ring. The bottom has a rubber seal to help contain dust and assist in the suction to hold it in place. The vacuum port measures 1-7/16” OD with an ID of 1-1/4”.

This attachment actually surprised me how effective it actually is. It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be which is great for larger holes. It’s made good with some pretty tough plastic and comes with extra bristle attachment, and a hose attachment clip that even has threads for a good seal. I ended up using it with first the small portable milwaukee vac and a ridgid shop vac. The shroud has a rubber bottom which actually works really good to get suction all around. I was drilling some 1/2 inch holes and did some 3/4 also and it literally gets all the dust. Big difference from when I wouldn’t use anything before. With the larger vac it even holds up itself with the suction on a brick wall and that impressed me. Really glad I got this and I’ll be ready if osha stops by. Definitely a must have considering how a lot of the dust from drilling concrete is not good for your health. Definitely recommend it. Easy to use and a lot of different attachments are available at a Home Depot to make it work.
