I use to use the large Demo Hammer Drills with a plumbing company a while ago. Do a lot of Handy Man work on the side and I didn’t want to put out a large chunk of dough for one of the big boys. That would have been overkill for what I do for most people. Was in a jam and needed to drill into some brick for support two stories up on a ladder. Looked at the Ridgid and this one. Happy with this one and had the power to make the job easy. Can’t wait for the next job to break this baby out.

Wayyyyy better than the competitors in the same AMP range. The vibration dampening is great for concrete. Much easier on the wrists. It does spark from the back end a bit but nothing out of the ordinary for concrete drilling. For a DIY home owner i’d say this fits the bill for the price. It gets the job done.

Made in china, but couldn’t find a USA made product so went with Milwaukee, always been a great product line. Drilled 8 holes (3/8″) in a sub wall and it just quit, had to finish up with my larger hammer drill, hope my next one lasts longer. Perfect size for the smaller holes.
