I don’t use a hammer drill a lot, but I use a corded drill often for drilling wood and metal. So why did I get this? Because it’s awesome. I also have a Hilti UD-16 which is an amazing tool. But it’s missing one thing that this has. The little slider that turns the hammer off. The 2 speed gearbox is really what I am after. Most VSR drills just have one speed and you feather the trigger to control it. This is variable speed in both high and low so I get all the torque of a slow speed drill and can flip the switch to high speed for the smaller bits. Like everything Milwaukee I’ve used, the quality is all there. The case is nice and the drill is easy to get in and out. The cord is fairly long and a nice flexible rubber. The keyed chuck doesn’t have any run out that I can see and the cord does have a key holder. I was a little disappointed to see it wasn’t a Jacobs chuck like on my Hilti and my 30 year old Milwaukee Magnum hole shooter, but it seems to be made pretty well.

I actually had the grandfather of this drill. The one I had was 40 years old and I inherited it from my wife’s Late uncle. This modern version of a classic power drill is nicer to use as the controls are much easier to operate. The basic functions are still the same a 2 speed variable drill with a hammer drill function. The depth stop is now tool less, which is nice. The handle is adjustable 360 degrees. We will see if this one lasts 40 years like it’s grandad.

I bought this hammer drill for a summer of deck building. Initially when deciding which one to buy I was unsure which hammer drill to purchase as there a number of good choices, Dewalt, Bosch, Hilti, etc.. I chose the Milwakee as I have had good experiences with thier tools in the past and for the price compared to some of the others this one seemed like a good deal. This tool did not dissapoint, we used it all summer without a problem. The drill never had a problem drilling holes for the lags and I would recommend this drill to anyone who needs a good hammer drill.

This hammer drill is very solidly built and does its job perfectly. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks and have given it lots of use, it has accomplished every job thrown at it flawlessly.

This drill is a great quality tool. It definitely has the torque and power anyone can expect from a 1/2″ drill. The frame is solid and sturdy enough that I don’t see it being damaged being bounced in and out of toolboxes. The case is big enough to store extra bits, or commonly used bits, both standard and masonry. Overall, it’s a great buy for a longevity puchase.

I received the Milwaukee 1/2 in. Pistol Grip Dual Torque Hammer Drill with Case to test for Home Depot and am very pleased. I have read some other reviews that stated it was not Heavy Duty, but I have no complaints. A few days after I received it my neighbor asked for some help installing overhead doors in his new garage. We gave it a good test drilling out holes to anchor the tracks and it worked great. I am a fan of Milwaukee and am not disappointed here. I really the fact that the carrying case was included!

Hello, I’m writing today about the Milwaukee 1/2 in. Pistol Grip Dual Torque Hammer Drill With Case. This product was received in perfect condition and packaged well. It works great on concrete and brick masonry.I liked the depth gauge so I would’t drill too deep of a hole. I liked the fact that it comes with its own carrying case so I don’t have to store it with my other tools that did’t come with a case.
