This is my third router…and the best yet. It’s light yet powerful, full-featured and well-designed. It handles all I need of a router. I’ve used it freehand, in a router table, and on a slab-flattening sled. Great every time. Easy to switch between fixed base and plunge base. It would have been nice to have a collet shaft lock so only one wrench needed for bit changes, but not a big deal. I highly recommend this tool!

High quality tool. Easy to use and very powerful and easy to make clean dados and edge round overs.

Great purchase. Tons of power but very smooth operation. Yes it’s pricey but it’s a classic case of you get what you pay for, and you are getting a very fine tool here

Totally satisfied with the router, easy to work with and has all the power you need.

A good, solid no-frills router. Having used Milwaukee’s professional routers, this comes as no surprise. Also easy to use if you have experience using a router, and if you don’t, a good router to learn with.

Works great. Solid all the way around. One negative is the size of the case. Takes up a lot of room.
Kole Doyle (verified owner) –
The case is clumsy and hard to use. This is my first router so I have no comparables, but operation seems solid.

I was looking at 2 other brands and chose this Milwaukee for a few reasons. 1. The body grip. I use a trim router often and just by habit grab the router this way. This Body grip is very comfortable and holding the router this way give me a feeling of control with the router and better stability while routing edges. 2. The LDA Linear Depth Adjustment allows me do fine tune my cut with ultra fine adjustment. 3. The plunge-base literally float. It glides up and down with very little effort. It’s like a finely crafted piece of machinery. The accessories includes a dust collection attachment, centering tool, 1/4″ and 1/2″ collets, T handle socket wrench if you mount the router in a router table and 2 wrenches to remove the collets or router bits. I’ve had this over a month and it has performs flawlessly. The 2 1/4 horse motor take anything thrown at it with power to spare. This is a 5 start router all day.

This router works exactly as I wanted one to do. Smooth starting and operation. This is my first plunge router and blows away my past fixed base routers I have had!

My very first router, but by no means my first Milwaukee power tool. I’d been using my father’s Bosch 1617 EVS for over 10 years. My first impressions after using it is that it’s a well-thought-out design. The on/off switch is in a very intuitive location that is like right there when you’re done routing a piece of wood. The collets and spindle are very meaty–indicative of large bearings and heavy duty design. The supplied wrenches are over-kill thick and heavy-duty, unlike my dads Bosch which the wrenches are bent because they’re too thin. I love the soft start and there’s an easy breakdown chart of the speeds to number dial relation on the router itself so you know what’s ideal for the application and don’t have to go hunting for the owners manual. The case is awesome and has plenty of room for a router bit storage. This is probably one of the best investments my wife and I have ever made towards home improvement. I’m sure it will last many years.

I received this product as a gift about a year ago and all I can say is that it is one of the best tools I own. It is easy to handle and has ample power for any task. If you want a good reliable router, this is the one for you.

Good balance and easy to control. Another solid Milwaukee tool.

Very solid fell, powerful. Easy to use but, doesn’t come with bit. Their products comes with blades or whatever. Go the price at least one bit would have been nice. For this reason stars!

What a difference between my old Milwaukee router and this one. I love the variable speed, the choice of 1/2″ and 1/4” chucks and the “soft” start features. Smooth running, ample power, and get base options. Happy routing!

Bought a router couple years ago that basically only goes one speed and has one depth. So I started to look for a better one. When I used this one it was like cutting cold butter with a hot knife. Was not expecting it to be so massive (the case is bigger than most my other tools) and which the price was a little lower (ended up routing the doghouse that I would stay in for the next week)

Great router, I know I’ve only scratched the surface of what this bad Larry can do.
