The Milwaukee 5619-20 BodyGripRouter features the industry’s first tactile handgrip designed into the base of the router, a fast, accurate linear depth adjustment system, a patented above-the-table depth adjustment mechanism. The Milwaukee 5619-20 features a 1-3/4 max HP (11 Amp, 24,000 RPM) powerful Milwaukee motor. The BodyGripdesign is a comfortable over-molded rubber grip wrapped around the base with an adjustable hand strap that allows for left and right-handed operation, and two over-molded palm-grip side handles for superior comfort, maneuverability and control. The exclusive linear depth adjustment features a large steel motor lock lever and depth adjustment gearing via a durable threaded screw integral to the motor itself. Both coarse and micro fine adjustments are fast and accurate. The router sub-base includes a special access hole for a common 3/8 in. hex extension wrench for above-the-table depth adjustments, ideal for router table applications and eliminating the nuisance of reaching beneath table to set the cutter (or bit) height. This revolutionary system simplifies this once tedious process required with other designs and ensures that the switch and cord remain in the same optimal location. For the router user who prefers a trigger control we’ve created a D-handle version (5619-20). This unit features a durable glass-filled nylon handle with comfortable cushion-grip and a trigger switch with special lock-on button for continuous effortless operation.

I have used other D-Handle routers but I consider the Milwaukee the best. It is easy to control, the adjustments are easy to use, and the weight is perfect for a production tool. The only improvement I can recommend is soft start. Otherwise it is great!

I have always wanted a “D” handle router. I hadn’t seen one in years until I discovered this one and ordered it. It is Awesome!!! It will accept both 1/4″ shank bits as well as 1/2″ shank bits which makes this router very versatile. It has plenty of power to handle a variety of routing projects both for professionals and the do it yourself people. This router has good weight but is not so heavy that you will not enjoy using it. And as always Milwaukee is the best tool for the money!!

Decided I would try this Milwaukee and am very happy I did.The micro depth adjustment is a wonderful feature. It’s much more precise and easier to adjust than the PC routers. Power seems on par with what I’m used to from the PC routers. Overall a very nice tool.

I have two conventional routers one a 3 HP Makita the other a 1.5HP Riobi (Junk). While working on cabinet doors with a cabinet professional who had a D-handle I learned about the CONTROL the handle provides and the view of the work the D handle provides while the router performs it’s job. It was all it took to convince me I had to have one. The 1-3/4 Max HP D-Handle Router by Milwaukee is a great tool at a reasonable price.
