The Milwaukee Fixed-Base Production Router has a powerful 15 amp, 3-1/2 max hp EVS motor. For a consistent, quality finish when using the tool, you have the ability to precisely match the tool’s RPM to the bit diameter using the 36-position speed dial. For controlled startups and reduced motor wear, the router features a reliable electronic soft start. It also has an exclusive linear height adjustment system with above-the-table access for fast and precise coarse adjustments to within 1/8 in. and 1/64 in. for micro adjustments. Being above the table eliminates the need for awkward, inconvenient adjustments, or an auxiliary router lift.
- Includes a 3-1/2 max hp fixed-base production router, two 1-1/8 in. collet wrenches, 1/2 in. collet, T-handle wrench and 2-1/2 in. sub-base
- Electronic variable speed of 10,000-22,000 RPM
- Premium electronic feedback circuitry that maintains speed and power under load
- Industry-standard bolt-hole pattern and router base diameter, along with removable handles for insert plate clearance
- Readily converts any existing table or production jig setup
- Unique motor contamination shield that keeps damaging debris out without sacrificing airflow
- Durable, rubber shield for dust-free access to the height adjustment system
- UL, CSA and ETL listed
- 5-year limited manufacturer warranty

I love it! the router is very sturdy and the slow start makes it easy to handle. It seems very well built, and was priced affordably.I haven’t had it all that long (3 weeks) but so far it has been really nice.

Runs a little quieter than my older 3+ HP router and has the same base plate screw pattern, so no need to buy another $$ base plate. Expect to spend another $30 for a 1/4 in. collet, especially if you own 1/4 in shank bits. Naturally, this tool is imported from that manufacturer of everything country, but quality of these products has improved and is not an issue.

I purchased this tool from Home Depot online. After moderate use the switch failed in one year. I rarely even use the switch because I have it mounted in table with external switch. After disassembly I could see that the unsealed switch was packed with dust! Give me a break! Who specified an unsealed switch in a router? I always buy Milwaukee when I can, but this experience has my questioning that habit.

I was in need of a more powerful machine so I picked this beast up. I have it attached to a router lift on my table. It is an excellent machine and I couldn’t be happier. Very powerful and handles whatever I throw at it. I had an issue with the collet and Milwaukee was contacted. I cannot say enough about how they helped. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase any of the Milwaukee line of tools.

Finally burned up my porter cable 892 and decided to try milwaukee. Right away I noticed how quiet and smooth this router is. And plenty of power to run cabinet door styles and rails. Very happy

Very good product. Has more than enough power for most jobs. Adjusts easily. Two complaints- the on/off switch is unreliable and I have yet to find a dust shroud that fits. I have this router table mounted and although my fence has dust collection and i modified a shroud for the back half it still sprays dust everywhere, particularly when cutting raised panels with large diameter bits. Would be great if there were some dust extraction accessories. Or if they exist, easier to find…

Works as advertised. Should have included the 1/4” Collet. Mounted router in a table, so no weight issue. It’s difficult (not impossible) to reach the collet nut and shaft to change bits. Could address this by removing motor from base each time, but need at least 14” clear under table. I don’t have.

During My first project the power switch failed due to dust build up . I disassembled the unit and cleaned the switch . Since then I find that blowing off the switch often prevents the problem . Switch should be sealed better !
