While the sander itself works great and is very easy to use, I have two issues with it. First, the dust collector attachment falls off too easily. If the sander vibrates too much it will fall off and spill dust everywhere. This happened about 10 times before I switched to the vacuum attachment. Secondly, the door on the dust collector also opened up constantly spilling out dust.

Above average because it’s more powerful than any previous palm sander I’ve used. Not excellent because the power gets away from me (it’s very responsive) and the dust box falls off a lot. It certainly gets the job done and easy to change papers.

This sander is excellent in every way. It’s easy to handle and the sanding pads are easy to change. The dust trap makes clean up simple. It’s Milwaukee at an inexpensive price so I would rate it as PERFECT.

After using this sander for a project I found a couple of problems. First the dust collector does not seat in the sander very well, it likes to come loose and only has a plastic detent holding it in place. The worst is the design on the power button its right were your finger grasp the sander and the off button is very sensitive, so every time you are using this sander you hit the off button consistently. The motor is strong and smooth. I do like the sandpaper holding system its easy to use and holds firmly. we shall see if it will last as long as the Dewalt its replacing.

I purchased this thinking it was awesome. It had good power and the sander worked well. I had a big kitchen project and had to sand wood walls and cabinets. Anyway, the reason I give it 3 stars is the exhaust/saw dust collector on the back of the sander kept falling out and will not stay unless you are horizontal with the sander. It is powerful so that is why 3 stars and not 2. That’s my two cents.
