I bought this because it’s Milwaukee. I’ve been buying a lot of Milwaukee lately and have been very impressed. This sander is one of the most powerful ones out there. I thought that would be better, but it kept trying to spin out of my hand. My hand became very fatigued after only a short time. I didn’t have any issues with the paper clamping system. The dust collection box kept popping out. There is no positive lock to hold it in place, just friction. Will be returning it.

Over all it is a very good sander. At first the dust catcher popped off during use. Seems to stay in place now. Easy to it the on/off button during use. Holds the sand paper in place better then my other brand(Not Milwaukee) that blew up(motor flew apart during operation).

I purchased a Milwaukee 12V 1/4” Hex Surge Hydraulic Driver when we moved to our new home. It has been an excellent tool. When we needed to sand some new and renovated wood work, we needed a sander. Based on my experience with the driver, I purchased another M tool. I recommend it.

outstanding sander. It comes with a device to poke the holes in the sandpaper. Needs a storage bag.

Sands well. The problem I’m having is that the dust collector pops off all the time.

i like this machine, good power and tha system to fix sand paper is easy and safe, BUT ths plastic base is very thin and broke easily when this felt dawn from the table to the wood deck floor were i was working, i think this could be study in order to be stronger because is easy to pull cable for accident and fall down, for the rest i like very much, thank you

The sander by itself rates a 5. The filter does not stay on nor does the vacuum hose using the adapter that is included.

In a follow up to Mu3ll3rs review. I bought this to replace the hand me down Ryobi sander my dad gave me. I needed something with more power and this is definitely the tool. I refinished my stair case and this tool did the trick.I had a few issues with it. 1. The pad got absolutely destroyed at the corners of the tool. This isn’t a massive issue, but I need to replace that just days after buying the tool.2. The dust collector falls right off with vibration or if I bump the baseboards while sanding the stair. Also the slightest bump with the cord sometimes knocked it off so I had to hold the cord up with my other hand.I only buy Milwaukee. I Love Milwaukee since my days of selling it with Fastenal, but this one needs improvement. I did notice the shop vac attachment stayed in place perfectly fine, but on the staircase this wasn’t feasible to use. I ended up recreating a scene from Dexter on the staircase and enclosing it in plastic because my canister would not stay on.Overall for power this tool has it, but design needs improved.

Milwaukee tools are my favorite but I wouldn’t buy this sander again. No problems with the job it does or the sandpaper coming off. It’s the dust collector that wrecks the sander. How the top fits on the dust collector is useless. It’s better held on with rubber bands. It would be nice if you could attach a shop vac or dust collector hose to it. Another example of someone designing a product with no clue about how it will work.
