Get two tools in one with this 15 amp grinder/sander from Milwaukee. This tool packs a punch at 7000 RPM to help you smooth or revitalize surface areas. Sand off rust or paint from fiberglass, plastic or metal surfaces with a 7 or 9 in. sandpaper attachment (sold separately). Or convert it to a grinder with the aid of a 7 or 9 in. wheel guard (sold separately) to shape metal or eradicate corrosion. Heavy-duty jobs are made easier with torque-transferring spiral bevel gears to apply the ideal amount of pressure on targeted areas.

I had this same grinder for 20+ years and it was a tank that put up with a lot of abuse. The new replacement works well, but I was disappointed to see it is now made in china. The design looks the same as my original, but it is not as smooth running and i am sure it will not last as long. For the price it is a good heavy duty grinder.

We use this workhorse with a knotted wire wheel to clean large steel fabrication weld splatter prior to painting. This model has been around for quite awhile and is still our go to for brute force and they really take the abuse we dish out.
