The Milwaukee 4-1/2 in. Small Angle Grinder features a powerful 7 Amp motor and 11,000 RPM, making the tool an excellent choice for a variety of grinding jobs. The multi-port exhaust reduces motor burn-up by efficiently venting hot air out of the grinder. Debris baffles protect the internal components by deflecting debris out of the airflow at the intake vents. The burst-resistant guard offers safe operation. Power cord on this unit is a great length compared to my old Bosch grinder. The slide lock sometimes does not latch completely, but not a big deal. Great product and would highly recommend.

same rpms as the cheaper ryobi (11k) but the higher amp motor keeps it spinning fast as you cut. awesome tool for the price.

Using to grind paint and even with power locked on if you bump it with your hand it shuts off. And first time it fell (from less then 2ft) it broke the lock to change blades. Good motor runs strong seen alot of hours fast.they just dont make things like they used to

It is not heavy duty. But, it is inexpensive. Not a big fan of the switch. However, I am using it as a second grinder just for grinding. The switch locks on which works pretty well for sanding/grinding in my opinion. That is what I am using it for exclusively. I have my other grinder setup for cutting (the dewalt having a paddle switch). It seems to have plenty of power for what it is. I say not heavy duty because it sounds relatively rough compared to the 10 year old dewalt that I am using. I did consider talking it back because the bearings sound a bit rough brand new. At $60 I decided to give it a go. I have only had this for a couple weeks. What ever brand you use, having one grinder dedicated to cutting and one dedicated to grinding is the way to go.P.S. the scanner wrench is not compatible from one brand to the other.

You cannot go wrong with a Milwaukee! So for only used it once for about an hour or so. It held up great with medium duty work I was doing. I have other Milwaukee tools and have put them thru heck and have never let me down.

I have two of these; one is an older version (all red) and preferred. My biggest complaint on this new version is the position of the on-off switch. It’s in a horrible location that is awkward in use. Although the Type 1 guard (accessory not included) is not too expensive but oddly huge compared to the Type 27 guard included. Note the Type 1 guard is smaller in comparison for the older version. In use, this one shut down once for a possible heat issue and it took some time for it to recover.I would recommend the older version but not this new version.

This is a very good tool. Be sure and protect your eyes if grinding. I use safety googles. Also, wear gloves and cover your arms.
