The 11 Amp Corded 4-1/2 in or 5 is very good toolkinch braking small angle grinder paddle with no lock is a very good tool. You can grind metal , concrete, and epoxy with it . It will help me in numerous ways. I received it a couple days ago and yes it meets my expectations. I really appreciate you letting me try this , I so appreciate it. I will put this tool to good use.

Corded Grinder – Milwaukee #6143-31. Comes with a cloth carrying case which has two cloth handles and clips for a shoulder strap, but strap not included. Took a while to figure out how to mount the guard but no tools were necessary except for the supplied spanner wrench. Nice braking, takes about 2-3 seconds to stop. Has a safety switch for palm ON lever. Best to move the safety switch with your pinky while closing the ON level. Has a lanyard clip. 5/8″ spindle. The side handle can be moved to either side. As with most of my power tools, I downloaded all manuals from the Home Depot and Milwaukee Tools site to my tablet. Much easier to read the digital copy. One thing everyone can improve on is to have a nice list of accessories that is easy to get to. I’m trying to add a cut-off wheel but not having much success in knowing which one to purchase.

I like this small Milwaukee 11 amp, corded 4 1/2 – 5” angle grinder (Model 6144-31). The kit came with the grinder, handle, type 27 guard, manual, one type 27 4 1/2” grinding wheel for metal/stainless, spanner wrench, and contractor bag. As a DIYer, an angle grinder was one of those tools I didn’t realize I needed until I actually needed it. It’s not a tool I use every day, but it sure comes in handy to cut bricks, concrete, and metal, and also to sand. Most recently, I used this to cut aluminum flashing and sheet metal… it was a breeze of course given an 11 amp grinder is overkill for that. I also cut some bricks… it was dusty! This model has a paddle switch (no lock), and interestingly, the lock-off switch goes the opposite direction of my M18 cordless 4.5” grinder. Having the lock-off in the opposite direction throws me off when I switch between the two, but either way, I like that when I release the paddle, the grinder stops quickly. The rapid-stop breaking feature stops accessories in 2 seconds or less. That’s great because my M18 cordless grinder doesn’t stop as fast and I can’t put it down right away. This is a comfortable grinder and while the documentation says it weighs ~6 lbs, it feels like more after a little while. It’s relatively easy to control, has soft start, and tool-free wheel changes. Seems to be the “norm” these days. One thing I miss versus my cordless is the ability to attach the handle on the top of the tool — the handle of this grinder only attaches on the left or right.Took me a second to figure out how to attach the included Type 27 guard, but once attached, it’s easy to move between detents for the safest location. 6’ cord is helpful and Max RPM of 12,000 is more than my M18 cordless.I have yet to work with a Milwaukee tool I didn’t like and this grinder is no exception.
