This Grinder was a Christmas Gift. It was one of many items listed which my son wanted. He has had one in the past and was very adamant that it be replaced with this specific brand and type.

Great little grinder! Lots of power. Does anything I ask of it. Reason for only 4 stars is states online and on box that its tool less blade/disk change which is not true. You have to use the supplied tool to change disk unless you buy the milwakee tool less quick change nut separately. which isn’t to bad considering the nut also fits other grinders

I bought this grinder 7 years ago primarily for cutting tile. It has been used on a regular basis for about 5 of those years cutting tile, grinding down concrete, cutting metal, grinding on metal, and cutting cement board.I install tile for a living, and I have only ever had to buy one grinder, this one. The only repair it needed was a new cord. It had worn out about a year ago at the bottom of the grinder (from constantly moving around). I actually didn’t even get a new cord, I just cut a few inches off of the original and reattached and it is still kicking.I can’t review any possible changes to the product, like the slide lock. Mine has a paddle lock, that still works just as good as the day I bought it.The grinder has tons of power. Be careful with it. I’ve never cut myself using it, but all grinders will sometimes catch or bite while using them, so always position your body and extremities in case it does.I have to say that most of my friends don’t like my grinder. In my opinion, they are kind of dumb reasons, but I’ll mention them. It is slightly louder than their Makita Grinders (probably because this one is 11 amp and they buy 6 amp grinders). It spins up very very quickly when you turn it on… somehow that’s a negative thing to them. It’s kind of scary to them I guess. Like I said before, just be careful, it’s no more dangerous than any other grinder. It’s never not got the job done for me. I am here to purchase another one. Not because there is something wrong with the one I have, just because I have to switch blades a lot and it’s time to splurge and get another.
