The gaurd should be open on the bottom. Cutting off bolts close to flush with the surface is nearly impossible.

I am an ironworker and I’ve had this grinder for 1 1/2 years. It’s been through a lot. Being dropped 2 stories, multiple times. All I’ve had to do is replace the carbon brushes twice and replace the switch once.

I have only one complaint and that is the guard is to much it’s listed as a 6 inch grinder but a 6 inch grinding wheel won’t fit between the output shaft and the bottom of the guard, and also the safety switch is a pain to in gage on the paddle swich,other than that i am happy with the cut-off capibities.
