if your in the market for a metal cutting band saw…this is not cheap but worth every penny i wanted a saw for cutting metal.. i make metal sculptor and i have two teenagers they are in to knife making i’m not thrilledbut i know where they are i added a table from swag off road and a foot switch most of what i cut is 5/8 or smaller this saw is good for up to 5×5 inchs bigger then this you’ll have to cut from the other side or get a bigger saw i have not found anything this won’t cut… hard steel… brass… copper …plastic ….stainless steel ect i was at odds about getting one but glad i did … if mounted to a table with a fence .if you take your time you can split hairs with this saw as far as blades go in 3 months i have yet to break one…our home depot in northern ohio carrys them they are in a 2 pack

Works great. Make sure you install the bandsaw blades with the teeth facing the correct direction. I had to invert my blades to work right. Not the bandsaw’s fault, but hey it’s free advice, take it.

I don’t go around praising Milwaukee but when I decided on a new tool I trust them to bring quality tools. It is honestly a bit loud but probably wouldn’t be noticeable on the construction site. I’m using it as a table top band saw to cut small pieces on metal, carbon, and other composite materials. This was made possible with an aftermarket part assembly. But the speed adjustment is amazing. Just another awesome Milwaukee tool in my arsenal.

I couldn’t find this bandsaw in the store, so i ordered online. There was no savings at all buying it online and delivery took two days longer than promised and the box was opened already. Walking thru the store a couple of days later i spotted it in the store, i was very disappointed. The bandsaw itself is top of the line. Very pleased with the Port a Band.
