This is a beast. Not sure where the concept of it being lightweight came from, but it’s not. It’s difficult to do precision cuts. It comes filled with oil. I’d prefer a battery saw for more precision and less fatigue after a while. Be sure to get blades with a diamond hole.

Great heavy duty hard working saw !

This saw is a beast. We are a metal fabrication shop and use the saw to cut thicker plates that can’t be sheared and are too narrow for the track burner. It requires more maintenance than a regulars saw; checking the oil level and changing the oil, etc., but it has tons of power and is well made.

This is my first circular saw, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. My first cuts were long cuts through 3 inches of stacked plywood. The blade didn’t go deep enough to cut all the way through, but it cut through a little over 2.5 inches of the wood in one pass. Cutting was smooth with no signs of it binding or slowing down at all. Pretty easy to control and get an accurate cut. In all a great product!

I am impressed by the power of the saw. The saw is amazingly quiet. I like the blade being on the left side for seeing what you are cutting. It does take a few cuts to get used to the blade position and weight. overall it seems to be a quality tool. I was disappointed to see a made in china tag on a electric Milwaukee tool. The saw base is made of a composite material, it works great now only time will tell. For the price you can’t beat it, I would have paid double for one made in America, like the older Milwaukee Worm drive saws, made to last a lifetime. Just my opinion for whatever it is worth.

Milwaukee has always been my favorite brand of tools. When I searched the reviews for a quality worm drive saw, the Milwaukee 15 amp saw came up as the best choice. Although it is a bit heavier than other worm drive saws, it has lots of power and cuts a straight line with ease. It handles and tracks good. It is perfect for someone who occasionally needs a good quality saw that will last for years. If I was a professional framer that used the saw all day, I might consider a lighter saw. However, It can take the more abuse than other saws can.

This saw seams great for the few months I’ve been using it. More then enough power, runs smooth, has a nice beefy grip and the sight glass for the oil is nice for checking the level. The only odd thing is the base of the saw is a fiberglass reinforced nylon, but it seems to be fine and definitely durable. (Probably inexpensive to replace if dropped and broke, so maybe a plus?) I would have given this saw 5 stars but the saw blade wasn’t able to be set perpendicular (90 degrees) to the base. I had to file a bit off the stop on the base to get it to set at 90. Seems like a huge overlook for a manufacturer of tools. Other then that minor thing it’s a great saw.

My old Black and Decker worm-drive (3051) and Rockwell worm-drive (568) had just died on me. No parts were available, Rockwell is long gone, and Black and Decker used to be great but now they’re just home owner junk.I was using a Dewalt DWS535 worm-drive saw about a year ago and the darned thing caught fire on me while making non-through rips in hard beams. I did not have it for 5 years; I only had it for 10 minutes. I vowed to never buy another one of their products again after that. So I looked around and tried many worm-drive saws and settled on this one. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. This saw does what it’s asked to do with no complaints. The blade change is pretty fool-proof and the bevel adjustment is smooth, quick, and easy. This saw has a 3.3-horsepower motor is very very smooth and never bogged down unless I forced it. It’s everything that a carpenter could ask for and it has a wonderfully long cord to boot. My only complaints are the weight (15.1 pounds-force) and the blade changing. Compared to an allen key, a hex wrench is less likely to slip and cause injuries. Also I have to lift the guard when doing bevels steeper than 15 degrees or else the guard will snag when I cut. I am also very disappointed to see a Made in China tag on a Milwaukee product. But other than that this saw is great. The true test will be its longevity but from the workout I have given it so far. I am confident that this is one rugged and reliable tool. I currently have three worm-drive saws: this one, a Skilsaw SPT77WM, and a Makita 5377MG. Good bye Dewalt, no more junk for me.
