The 6519-31 Sawzall Recip Saw delivers best in class cut speed, durability and power with 0-3,000 strokes per minute, a 1-1/8” stroke length and a 12 Amp motor. The gear protecting clutch extends gear and motor life by absorbing high impact forces and a QUIK-LOK blade clamp offers fast tool-free blade changes. To provide greater user comfort, a counter weighted mechanism reduces vibration for smoother operation and a redesigned front grip area provides best in class ergonomics.

I’ve had this about a year now and not had the occasion to use it much, I have an older larger one still in use. Yesterday I had a difficult, very awkward cutoff to make between a wall and a chimney so I needed a smaller saw. After trying the oscillating cutter to no avail I switched to this one and it handled it like a champ. One thing I found with this saw is it likes the bigger Diablo 9” blades, either wood demo or pruning style. Then you’re king!

For only being a 12 amp this thing puts out some serious power. Right out of the box it tackled 20 minutes of 3″ tree limbs with no overheating, no signs of slowing down absolutely perfect. Only downside is it’s heavy.

The saw worked as I expected it would. The end of the blade does vibrate left to right which was a bit unnerving. It cut through the 1-1/2 and 2 inch tubing easily. I will next be using it to remove an old auto exhaust system.

Awesomesauce! My husband had his original saw zall from the time he started doing construction when he was 16yrs old, that’s almost 27 yrs ago, with the old metal carry case! He was skeptical about upgrading, I’ve tried for years, but his old faithful died on him! It was bittersweet for me, but he was still skeptical. When I brought it home, he fell in love with the weight of it. Then after that, he fell in love with the attached cord, the old one drove me nuts sometimes with the movement!
