I’m the average home owner and I love it. Top of the line tool that I have heard will last for a long time.

I bought this saw at homedepot.com to use it to demo a wood deck of about 300sqf. The saw made a solid first impression and we made a few cuts until we noticed that the ‘orbital function’ could not be turned off. Turning the blade around (upside down) turned it off immediately and the saw blade just oscillated as expected. However, in the standard position the bladed orbited irrespective of the position of the sliding switch (orbiting on/off).I called Milwaukee, customer service, to inquire about any remedies and they recommended returning the saw. No problems with the return at Home Depot, I ended up with the 15Amp model.Overall, the saw performed well, felt solid and the cuts were made quickly and without any issues. I believe my saw was just an outlier and I recommend this product.

The sawzall was delivered almost next day and it works well beyond my expectations. I got it for my dad a plumber who had an older one and his work van was broken into and it was stolen. He told me he can barely get it into the third setting because its so powerful. He said the adjustable handle definitely helps instead of hold a powerful machine while off balance.

I had a Bosch “Sawsall” for 30 years. I liked it a lot. I liked Bosch a lot. I am a week-end worrier, only use my tools occasionally. But I like fine tools. When I went to use my Bosch, which had very little actual time on it, it was sparking at the commutator, and had no power. It had a defective motor, and the parts were no longer available. The new Bosch “sawsalls “no longer had a lever to adjust the amount of oscillation, and I was disappointed in my old Bosch’s quality. I have a 45 year old Milwaukee 1/2” right angle plumbers drill, which still runs like brand new. No defective motor. So I thought that I would give Milwaukee a try again. This new Sawsall is wonderful. It has the variable orbital action, for both cutting wood and metal, It has variable speed in the trigger, with a separate adjustment for setting the maximum speed. It has a quick-release tool-less chuck which allows the blade to be inserted upside down, which I could never do before. The shoe can be adjusted in and out to control the depth of the blade stroke. I used to occasionally have to cut blades shorter so they would not protrude too far below the item I was cutting, and damage something below. And best of all it has a 13 amp MILWAUKEE BUILT MOTOR. This is very important to me after the problems I had with the Bosch motor. I did not want the 15 amp version, as my power sources are only 15 amp home circuits, and I did not want to have to fool around with resetting breakers. This particular model has the unique rotating handle. You never know when this may come in handy. Others have complained that there is no storage compartment built in to the case, and they are correct. However this is easily solved. I simply wrapped up the dozen or so blades I have, in a small shop towel, and put them in the case with the saw. There is plenty of room for them, and with them being wrapped in the towel, they do not rattle around and scratch this beautiful new saw of mine. This is a dream saw. I could not ask for any more features. They are all there! Sawsalls, by their nature, are hard working mechanical devices. This is no tool to try to save money on. Get the best product you can afford. This sawsall has the longest warranty in the business. You only buy a tool like this once or twice in a lifetime. If, like me, reliability and pride of ownership is important to you, this is the tool for you.

Had one for ten years. Finally is time for retirement. I have problem with cord connection and is noisy so I decided to order the same one new. this is the most powerful sawzall ever. I have now a lot of heavy cutting. the rotating handle is the best idea ever made ! Does the job ! This is killer. Hardly recommend for heavy construction.

This Sawzall has been really useful in renovating my 100 year old bathroom, I had to cut through really thick cast iron pipe, and had to also cut out some sections of the wall, all of which this machine did really well. I was worried that 13amp is a bit weaker than the newer 15 amp model, but there’s nothing to worry about. The 365 degree spinning handle is (which is only available on the 13 amp version) has been extremely useful at making cuts sideways, up and down. I am somewhat disappointed that this feature is no longer available on the “newer” 15 amp model. All and all a very powerful tool that gets the job done well.

Plenty of power and usual Milwaukee good quality that you expect

heavy duty saw, the rotating handle makes it well suited for fire/rescue use along with the orbital selection.

I used to own a 15 Amp Milwaukee Sawzall, it was a great tool……until it was stolen. So, I found myself having to replace the old Sawzall with a new one. I debated if I should switch brands, but after shopping around, I decided Milwaukee was still the best in regards to Sawzall’s (and I’m a DeWalt power tool guy). I then had to decide if I wanted a 13 or 15 Amp saw, but then I found this model with the rotating handle, which I immediately saw would be very useful (they don’t make a 15 Amp Sawzall with a rotating handle). At first I hesitated because I typically like to buy the most powerful tool I can afford, and being that I used to have a 15 Amp one which had been a beast, I was at first unsure if the 13 Amp model would be too weak for my needs. But, I was wrong! This saw is every bit as powerful as the old 15 Amp one I used to have, there’s nothing to be concerned about on power. And like another reviewer said, if you have 15 Amp plugs in your home, you probably want to get the 13 Amp model just to have some wiggle room to not trip the breakers. All in all this is a terrific tool, the rotating handle is great, my only complaint is that the case is too small to fit a case of blades in, but hey, you can always just bring the blades in a separate plastic box/holder. It’s not the end of the world given that the saw is so good otherwise.

The first unit I received had a problem and had to be returned, but the help and service at no cost to me was excellent. The second one is just as I expected of Milwaukee quality. I have tested and used the unit in some hard jobs and it’s performance is outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quality sawzall.
