This saw is one of my favourite tools. I bought it before we replaced the casings and trims throughout our bedrooms. Surprisingly it was cutting square out of the box. I bought a diablo 110 tooth blade with it and I couldn’t be happier. I was nervous at first after watching some review videos on this saw (most are quite old). The saw lights are LED. My only complaint is that the saw lights fill up with sawdust and it looks like it’ll be a lot of work to clean them out – unless I can blow compressed air through it. Overall, great saw especially when on sale!

This saw works great and I like the stand it came with. It’s quite heavy to move so it’s not practical to keep moving around. Once positioned where you need it, it delivers consistent cuts and is pretty powerful.

OK .. First off, I must bow my head in shame. Even though I have a ridiculous amount of Milwaukee tools and nothing yellow, after reading all kinds of reviews from “experts” I fell for it and bought a DWS780. They were saying things like “Yellow tools have been in the saw business forever, they know what they’re doing”.Well, after 2 days of having that saw, I happened to be at a friend’s place who just bought the Milwaukee. I used his saw and couldn’t get over how much smoother it was in every way. The rails glided so much better, were on the bottom instead of the top, the tray rotated better, it had a passive start, constant RPM technology, an electric brake, a gear driven motor so no belts to stretch and break, the fine tuning actually came in really handy and did an awesome job, the digital readout was a welcome added bonus and the whole saw in general just feels better to work with!!! OH!! And the dust collection is night and day! Its SO much better on the Milwaukee!!For a tool I plan on having for years, the answer was clear and I returned that yellow piece of junk asap and got what I KNEW I should have bought in the first place! The only explanation I can think of that the yellow tool had more votes in the comparisons is those people are too sold on their yellow collection and have never bothered to even look at the specs of other saws! I also got to try out a blue just the other day and while the axial-glide system is maybe even slightly smoother then the Milwaukee, the Milwaukee is still by far better because of all the other reasons listed above and also that blue saw didn’t seem to want to give an accurate cut, not sure if it was the blade or the saw causing the flex, but it just assured me that I had made the right choice in exchanging for the Milwaukee. After just over a month now with my Milwaukee, 1,200 feet of hardwood floor, moldings and currently working on building kitchen cabinets, this saw has worked wonderfully for me and I love it!RED TOOLS ARE BETTER!

Great saw that provides straight smooth cuts with very solid construction. However, it is relatively heavy but nonetheless, worthy purchase.

Saw works great, takes a little getting used to the soft start feature of the motor. light to see the cut line is a nice feature. Would like to see a laser cutline guide.

Great saw. No complaints! I convinced my wife that I should buy this saw with the money that we saved by having me build my own garage. I just finished training the garage and used the saw for the entire job. It worked well and makes accurate cuts. Very nice to have the digital readout for mitre cuts. Easy to adjust. Get this saw. You won’t regret it.

Works very well as expected. Very smooth and accurate. My only negative would be that the saw is quite heavy but I think that is a reflection of the quality of materials and construction so I am very willing to live with the extra weight.

Very good saw overall. I like the digital display with microa-djust option. It’s very solid. It comes in one piece, there is nothing to screw on out of the box. I adjusted the angle detents, but it might be because I thought they were misaligned. Downside, the blade isn’t the best, the work lights are useless in daylight and it’s close to 60 lbs so very, very heavy. I don’t move it around much

Although I haven’t used it to it’s full capabilities it is everything that I have wanted in a compound miter saw. It’s actions are smooth and what I expected from a quality tool. Milwaukee has engineered some great tools and I have been moving from lower quality tools towards them for years. Great!

I organize my workshop. A very necessary mechanism for me. One of the most needed. It will definitely not be idle. The blade that comes with it is beyond praise. A little emotional assessment – when working with him, the abilities of the one who works with him automatically rise to a new level. Accuracy of head rotation, tilt, cleanliness of the cut – everything is at a high level. Highly recommend. Joy at work guaranteed

So far it is a wonderful saw ! It has all good features & is easy to use ! I bought a stand with it & the stand is not easy to use at all ! love the saw but the stand is questionable ! needs new design !

Great Saw. Super durable. Right out of the box it cut thick maple boards like butter. I did notice the motor took 2-5 seconds to spin up the blade to full RPMs. Just something to be aware about if you want a clean cut. This also might be a safety feature. The angle controls on the front allow the saw to be super accurate with your cuts. The slider motion is fluid, with no unnecessary side to side play. Not as good as the Bosch Mitre saw, but for the price it’s a great second option. This saw is built to last. If you’re looking for a light weight saw, this isn’t it. This saw is heavy and designed to do a full day of trim or fine cuts with incredible accuracy. I also got the locking stand with the deal. The stand is heavy and is designed to take a lot of weight and not move while cutting. Although the stand is mobile, I wouldn’t say its easy to move around. Set it up for the day and lock in your saw. Overall, this saw is great and it you’re doing any fine cuts or trim work, this saw should be on your list to look at.
