The 6955-20 12 in. Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw offers best in class accuracy, power and ease of use. The Miter Angle Digital Readout provides repeatable accuracy to 0.1. The Miter Angle Fine Adjust with Detent Override makes it simple to dial-in precise miter angles. Dual Integral Jobsite Lights fully illuminate the work piece and cut line from either side of the blade. The powerful 15.0 Amp, 3.3 Max HP Direct Drive Motor provides increased power for high performance cutting in hard lumber. Constant Power Technology with Soft Start maintains constant cutting speed under load and decreases start up head movement. The Integral Dust channel captures up to 75% of the dust and debris cut.

Very nice saw… but I’m not a fan of the fence design.It’s difficult to secure when using stop blocks and the mounting holes to secure a longer fence in place is too high. It would be better if the fence was once piece and lower.

Its a nice saw, mechanically it works great, real accurate. The angle meter didn’t work on the first one or the second one, sent the 2nd one back. I like the saw so I will keep it, just have to send it into Milwaukee tool repair to fix the display.

It’s bigger than it appears. You’re better off to get the Milwaukee stand and not another brands. The others are all too small

Ok saw. It cuts straight, but simple annoyances haven’t been addressed. Blade lock pin for lower position (if you’re not chopping) is way too small. The pin to lock the forward/backward movement is also too small. Product needs just a little more engineering… Finally, the safety mechanism at trigger was flimsy and fell off on first day of use. It does cut straight though…

I’ve had the saw for about 2 months and am very happy.It is built very solid and seems very well made.It is heavy, so you it is more work to move it between locations.At regular price this is a compelling option but when its on sale for a good discount it is hard to ignore.This is my first Milwaukee tool and I’m glad I strayed from my usual brand.

This is a great saw with smooth operation. Easy to use. It’s definitely heavy so I would suggest waiting until it is on special with the stand. A laser line would have been nice. Dust collection is okay, likely better with a vacuum system.

First one arrived with defective LCD readout. Home Depot made for an easy exchange. Something to be said for buying from a store with a brick and mortar presence.Regarding some of the previous complaints – a clamp comes with the saw that attaches to either side of the blade, and both the right and left fences are adjustable.Saw cuts smoothly, in particular the rails are like glass. I’m a weekend do-it-your-self’er, from what I can see the saw is accurate for both miter and bevel cuts from the factory. I haven’t adjusted anything but it works well for me.Very happy with the purchase, didn’t see the value in bumping up to the Festool and I don’t think anything else comes close. Paired with a Bosch T4B gravity rise stand and a Freud blade and it’s an awesome combo.

One of the best miter saws on the market! This thing is heavy and solid and has a huge cutting capacity. Theres nothing portable about this saw, you need a wheelbarrow to move it its so heavy. But everything about it screams quality. The soft start feature is very smooth and makes this saw a dream to use. The digital angle readout is surprisingly accurate as well. And the dust collection works better than any I’ve seen.

I bought the saw in July after the guard broke on my old saw. The saw came with a bonus Milwaukee stand. (Model 48-08-0551). Together it makes a terrific purchase. The stand is really light but supports the saw very well. It is good because the saw is a little on the heavier side. No complaints because heavier usually means higher quality metals used to build the saw. I built a playhouse for my daughter. The digital readout meant that each time I had to make an angle cut they were exactly the same. It didn’t matter it was at a different time and day the cuts matched up perfectly. The saw was powerful and had no problems cutting damp 4×4’s. This was my first Milwaukee product and I am happy with it.
