The 6955-20 12 in. Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw offers best in class accuracy, power and ease of use. The Miter Angle Digital Readout provides repeatable accuracy to 0.1. The Miter Angle Fine Adjust with Detent Override makes it simple to dial-in precise miter angles. Dual Integral Jobsite Lights fully illuminate the work piece and cut line from either side of the blade. The powerful 15.0 Amp, 3.3 Max HP Direct Drive Motor provides increased power for high performance cutting in hard lumber. Constant Power Technology with Soft Start maintains constant cutting speed under load and decreases start up head movement. The Integral Dust channel captures up to 75% of the dust and debris cut.

This is a great saw with smooth operation. Easy to use. It’s definitely heavy so I would suggest waiting until it is on special with the stand. A laser line would have been nice. Dust collection is okay, likely better with a vacuum system.

The saw itself seems fairly powerful and accurate but the digital gauge is already broken! Parts of the display dont work, so I cant read the numbers. My workshop is full of milwaukee tools, and this is my first bad experience. Crest fallen.

The Milwaukee 12 inch dual bevel sliding compound Miter saw is the best miter saw available. The direct drive blade prevents splintering that you would get with a dewalt dws780 belt driven miter. The sliding function is very smooth, much better than Dewalt and Hitachi.

The saw has awesome features . Built in light. Digital scale. And adjusting any angle or bevel is way to simple compared to any saw i used a a job site. The downside is once i push the button it seems there is a delay before the blade starts up. But well worth the money, was onsale. And shipping was free and super fast.

To carry the saw I find it a little heavy, but I did expected that when I purchased the 12” unit. Glad I went a size bigger so I can cut a 6×6 in one cut when I get to fixing my deck. This saw has lots of power and is easy to use. The markings are clear and the adjustments are easy to make. Very happy with my purchase.

Happy with the saw, lots of power and nice capacity. My individual saw arrived factory packed, but a couple elements in the miter angle read out were not working. Basic factory setup of the tool was poorest I’ve everseen. I’d not expect to “use it out of the box” – maybe just mine. Resetting angles was pretty easy and it’s worked fine so far thus 4 stars not less
