This is an AMAZING saw!!! It certainly lives up to the Milwaukee name/reputation!!! Heavy, so a stand is required!!

The saw is extremely heavy so if you are able to use it on a work bench, the weight is not an issue. When I saw the size of the box when it was delivered, I thought, oh my, what have I bought. But, I love the it cuts wide lumber without having to turn the board around or lift the board up for it to cut. It works really well. I think the price is associated with the brand since there are others that are less expensive that can do the same thing. I am sold on the brand though.

First one arrived with defective LCD readout. Home Depot made for an easy exchange. Something to be said for buying from a store with a brick and mortar presence.Regarding some of the previous complaints – a clamp comes with the saw that attaches to either side of the blade, and both the right and left fences are adjustable.Saw cuts smoothly, in particular the rails are like glass. I’m a weekend do-it-your-self’er, from what I can see the saw is accurate for both miter and bevel cuts from the factory. I haven’t adjusted anything but it works well for me.Very happy with the purchase, didn’t see the value in bumping up to the Festool and I don’t think anything else comes close. Paired with a Bosch T4B gravity rise stand and a Freud blade and it’s an awesome combo.

Not sure how well the saw works. I have yet to set it up and use it. But I am sure it will be good.

Very good compound miter saw the blade guard is the only bad thing it is in the line of site when cutting

Great saw!

The Milwaukee 12 inch dual bevel sliding compound Miter saw is the best miter saw available. The direct drive blade prevents splintering that you would get with a dewalt dws780 belt driven miter. The sliding function is very smooth, much better than Dewalt and Hitachi.

Very powerful, I purchased this saw maybe 2 years ago. I had owned a miter saw with a laser on it. Lasers on miter saws are great option. My miter saw only had one laser and would work when it wanted to. Seeing the Milwaukee with its two lights design I hoped it would give me a sharp left and right indicators. I was wrong and disappointed. However the two lights are helpful. The Milwaukee saw also has an electronic brake on it. This new brake feature causes the nut holding the blade to loosen damaging your blade, damaging your motor shaft and effects accuracy. The price is about $200cheaper now then when I made my purchase but still not a good buy.

great saw

Cuts thru thick timbers like butter, leaves little dust, the lights are more useful then a inaccurate laser and you can add a Bosch clamp for ease of use. I’ve looked at all the other saws the only one that beats this is a Festool.

This saw had features that I did not know were available. It is, however, very heavy for transporting from job site to job site.

The saw and stand are super easy to use and it cuts bevels perfectly

Easy to set up and works great!!

The dust collection intake is too low the table needs to be a typical measurement so that you could set it up on a piece of plywood pick up a few drops & bam your ready to go

I originally purchased a Dewalt sider mostly because Dewalt had nice features it was cheaper and came with a free stand. Unfortunately few things I was really disappointed when it came to it. When saw is fully extracted the blade deflection is pretty bad that was major for me. Also the slides are terrible and I read that it’s because only one side has bearings. Dewalt went back!Milwaukee much better saw I believe it beats the competition. Here are some pro’s: it’s a soft start motor. Digital read out. It’s said to have a stronger/better motor than Dewalt’s. Excellent smooth slides. No blade deflection. Factory blade is pretty good when it comes to smooth cuts.Con’s: motor is louder than Dewalt’s. Right fence tab needs to be cut off. Dust collection is average and in order to connect to a shop vac an attachment is needed $20some. Saw is made to have a clamp but a clamp does not come with it, Bosh makes a clamp that fits. LED lights are there but not as good as Dewalt’s over the blade light.Overall I still prefer this saw over Dewalt’s. Hope this helps someone in search of new saw.

Easy to use, very accurate, great features, strong motor. Only complaint is that blade needs to be re-tightened occasionally.
