Dual Integral Jobsite Lights fully illuminate the work piece and cut line from either side of the blade. The powerful 15.0 Amp, 3.3 Max HP Direct Drive Motor provides increased power for high performance cutting in hard lumber. Constant Power Technology with Soft Start maintains constant cutting speed under load and decreases start up head movement. The Integral Dust channel captures up to 75% of the dust and debris cut. After many years of use of a competitors compound miter saw I upgraded to the Milwaukee sliding miter saw for improved accuracy and capability to cut larger cross sections. The saw is a bit heavy but one person can handle moving it around. Another high quality Milwaukee product.

The saw is extremely powerful. The slide is very smooth but with just enough resistance so that it doesn’t get away from you. The bevel mechanism, while not being in the front, is far more reachable than that on my old non-slide Delta, however it takes some trial and error to learn how to get it to move and register properly. I very much appreciate the saw not having a laser but instead having twin lights that actually illuminate the workpiece at the point of blade contact. The collection bag works fairly well, but my reading of reviews of other saws tell me that almost none of these works too terribly well. The right miter capability of 60 degrees is a great feature. At $450, the on-line price, this beat out all other 12″ sliders. The saw is VERY heavy. Milwaukee did equip it with 4 handles but you still have to “horse” the monster onto a work table. The saw was perfectly squared out of the box and the blade that comes with it is excellent. Other than the weight, my only real complaint, and the reason I only rated the saw as good instead of excellent, is that the saw does NOT come with a hold-down clamp of any kind. There is also no place to put any other sort of clamp so I’m going to have to research MIlwaukee to see if there is one available.

Its a nice saw, mechanically it works great, real accurate. The angle meter didn’t work on the first one or the second one, sent the 2nd one back. I like the saw so I will keep it, just have to send it into Milwaukee tool repair to fix the display.

Out of the box it came ready to work and it made great cuts with the factory blade. I works get a better blade foe finish work. But in the framing end, this saw lives up to the Milwaukee name!

I purchased this saw last year during black friday for 442.00 with free shipping from Home Depot. I am so very please I bought this saw. I have used this saw on a weekly if not daily basis for over a year now. I would highly recommend this saw to anyone who wants a quality saw. The saw is built with a lot of quality and very accurate on the cuts.I would purchase this saw again and again.If you want one of the best miter saws built go buy this saw.The only 2 drawbacks was that I had to purchase an optional suction adapter to hook the saw up to my dust collection. The second drawback is the saw is large and takes up a large part of the table top.
