The powerful 15.0 Amp, 3.3 Max HP Direct Drive Motor provides increased power for high performance cutting in hard lumber. Constant Power Technology with Soft Start maintains constant cutting speed under load and decreases start up head movement. The Integral Dust channel captures up to 75% of the dust and debris cut. This is a good saw overall. The blade that comes with this saw has a lot of deflection and is not suitable for fine finish work or furniture making. Do not bother trying to set the blade square to the table or fence until you buy a quality blade. Expect to spend several hours setting the saw up if you intend to do very fine work; the adjustment mechanisms are adequate if a bit fickle. For the best dust collection, get the adapter and hook the saw up to a vacuum.
