I am upgrading my box level tools and decided to obtain the new Milwaukee 72 in. Redstick Box Level. The first thing noticeable with this box level is the sturdiness, ergonomic grips and easy-to-read bubble vials. It’s an all metal (aluminum) backbone, so there’s no weak plastic parts. After using the Milwaukee 72 in. Redstick Level for several weeks I am very impressed with it’s quality, accuracy and ease of use. The vials on the Milwaukee 72 in. Redstick Level are amplified 2x and have an acrylic protective surface for easy cleaning. The level is milled to 0.029 degrees accuracy and comes with a lifetime warranty. Highly recommended for contractors or anyone needing a high quality box level.

I use the box level on my flooring. The length of the level is very helpful for leveling the floors for finishing. The vials in the level are large and can be read from a distance, especially when you are moving around. The rubber ends are removable. The 8 feet long level can be little too long to handle, especially low ceiling and smaller areas; however, the length of the level is really paying off for me when finishing the floor.

I use levels every day for work and have many of various sizes and quality. I saw this 32 inch Milwaukee Redstick and had to have it for two reasons. 1 Because of the design quality and 2. because of its size. I’m a big fan of Milwaukee products for my own professional use and was happy to see Milwaukee come out with a line of high-quality levels to compete against other brands that have been the standard for some time. I was pleased to see the metal frame inside the body of the level to keep it rigid and straight. Other levels from other manufacturers that were quite expensive are actually flexible. Not this one. Mine came straight and level and the vials were dead on and are easy to read. I like the handle also and the attractive red color. The other reason I like it is because of the length. The 32″ length is perfect for leveling cabinets front to back and other work that a 4′ level is to long for that a 2′ level is too short for.

Very well made level, good all around size it is comparable to Johnson and Fatmax. the 36 inch size is better suited for longer runs, door installation, etc, I found the machined surface to be well manufactured and true. I was a machinist in a prior life and know that is important. I like the non magnetic version as it is suitable for most jobs and doesn’t pick up any metal along the way while being stored. Milwaukee has made a nice product.

This is a very well made level and has an all metal body. The trade-off to that is it is slightly heavier than some of the other levels I own. The all metal design means the level comes with a 0.0005″ accuracy, and has a guaranteed lifetime accuracy to be accurate to 0.029°.The hand grips are comfortable and the rubber finish ensures a good non-slip grip in all working conditions.I especially like the oversized vial on this level, not only is it twice the normal size, but also has a very contrasting yellow/green color – it almost looks luminescent. It includes an all-metal hang hole on one end for storage.I have a similar Milwaukee level that is magnetic, but sometimes you do not want magnetic. When I’m grinding and welding up I beams, the last thing I want is metal filings stuck all over my level, so this is just perfect.

This level is great. Comes in handy for so many different uses and I doubt I have found them all yet. It is very stiff yet not too heavy. The bubble levels are accurate and easy to read. There is really not much to this thing other than being made from solid materials the way it should be. I love the trademark red Milwaukee finish. I find myself using it more and more as I get used to having this great tool!

Well built sturdy level. What i did first was check to make sure the level was on. I put it on a level surface (one i know is level). I layed it down then flipped it 180 degrees to make sure it is true. It checked out and seems on point. It is very sturdy. At the end of each level there is a rubber piece that comes out. I admit i dont know what this is for but seems like a bumper to reduce the amout of damage it would cause if you dropped it.

I got this level because I thought I’d never receive the magnetic version I tried to get a couple months prior. This is a very nice level with large viewing bubbles that make it very easy to use. I was surprised this didn’t have any measurement markings like all the other levels I’ve seen. All-in-all it’s nice to have a level shorter than the usual 24″ I’ve had and it will work well in smaller spaces. I expect this will last a long time and considering the price it better!

You can certainly find lower priced levels but you will not find a level that impresses you more than Milwaukee’s Redstick levels. They come in a wide variety of lengths both magnetic and non-magnetic. All are high quality materials with exceptional machining and finishes. Like most other levels they have removable end caps but their vials are much larger and very easy to read. Milwaukee guarantees lifetime accuracy to .029-degree.

Very well made level, it is comparable to Johnson and Fatmax. the 24 inch size is great for home owners and contractors alike, depending on your job it is a great all around size. I found the machined surface to be well manufactured and true. I was a machinist in a prior life and know that is important. I like the non magnetic version as it is suitable for most jobs and doesn’t pick up any metal along the way while being stored. Milwaukee has made a nice product.

Man these Milwaukee redstick levels are plain and simple high quality, stout levels. Then again I have never used a bad Milwaukee tool. I am a huge fan of levels. Its just that simple tool in the shop or on a job site, in which the use of one can make the finish product a sight to see or a complete disaster. This 48″ box level is perfect for those larger surfaces. Like leveling a floor, or structure. These levels are heavier than your typical levels, which is a good thing. Milwaukee aimed at making a more robust level that could handle the riggers of the job site, handle more weight with out bending or warping, and remain dead on accurate for its lifetime. In fact dead on accuracy with these levels for their life time is part of Milwaukee guarantee. Now these redstick levels will cost you a bit more than the average level you see hanging in your local hardware store or home improvement center, but they are oh so worth it. The magnets are really strong. The level is flat to with in .0005″ on both surfaces, so it can be trusted as a straight edge. I placed the level on the flattest machine surface that I have. Which is is my cast iron table saw top. Took the thinnest feeler gauge that I have which was .004″ and tried to insert it under the table saw at every point and there was not enough room to get the feeler gauge under the saw. This level is dead flat The vile are large and true to Milwaukee claim. They really are much easier to read. I I just really like these levels and they will become the new primary use levels in my wood shop. The others I am currently using in my shop will be downgraded to more messy work like laying tile, cement, and glue ups. Id highly recommend these levels to anyone in the market for a box level. You wont regret spending the extra bucks on this type of quality.

This level has everyything you need in a level. First of all the handle contour grips are great when you are reaching far. You can also feel the durability of the level. The bubble is very easy to read from a reasonable distance. The level also feels very rigged and durable for easy do it yourself projects. In tight spaces the bumpers on the end don’t nick the level unlike my other cheap ones.

I love this tool. I have never owned a six foot level. Over a lot of years I have owned a lot of four foot levels most were Made by American levels. I have just finished building a built in book case in a one hundred year old home and used the 72 inch Redstick Level. It made it much easier than using a straight edge and a four foot level. The level had a good feel or balance to it. Wish I had one several years ago.

I got this level with the extendable 12’ one and it’s been my new go to. Stabila levels are good but tend to bend easy if your not very gentle with them. The Milwaukee red stick is tough enough even for the apprentices to throw around the site.

This is my third Redstick purchase in addition to my 48″ and 7″ torpedo. This is well made, magnetic, cushioned edges, and works as designed. I am using it to replace my stairs with solid oak and it has helped tremendously to help level them since the home build was not done correctly. It is another quality item from Milwaukee and I could not be happier!

It’s a beautiful level. Bubbles easy to read. It’s a hefty level, but it is built like a truck.
