The Milwaukee 48 in. REDSTICK Magnetic Box Level is another quality tool from Milwaukee Tools. It has a magnetic strip on one side so you can attach it to steel surfaces, to verify that they are plumb. The vials are very easy to read and the molded handles make it easy to carry and hang up. The reinforced aluminum body helps to ensure it will remain true year after year. Milwaukee Tools has done it, again!

I love this Milwaukee level. They operate as advertised and are a solid great quality tool. The level itself is very strong and clean. The bubble is very clear and easy to read. The 48in Redstick magnetic box level has a fantastic build quality. It feels very solid and you get the impression it will be very accurate as well. I used it to test numerous areas within my home as it was being built. Everything showed it was consistently level and everything was square. It is easy to read even from a distant, and the magnetic feature comes in handy in window seals with metal framing. It is a great product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a professional level.

This Redstick level from Milwaukee is a very well made, well-constructed piece. The sturdy tough frame is made of aluminum, with a special milled surface on either side. The heavy plastic end caps protect the surface of anything you’re measuring, but a clever release system lets you remove the caps if you need to get into tight corners– very handy where walls meet.To me, the best features on these Redstick levels are the high-visibility vials themselves– they’re larger than any I’ve seen in other levels, and super easy to read– a real plus when you don’t have your reading glasses, or when your wearing safety goggles.So far, I’ve used this level on indoor mounting projects and a trim project on my three-season porch, all with perfect results. At 24″, the level was easy to handle, yet long enough to ensure accuracy. It also features a strong magnetic edge for working with metal studs/ surfaces. Add in its lifetime guarantee, and I’m sold on the Redstick– it’s taken levels to a whole new, well, level!

I broke mine and had to get another one and since this was a good brand name and the picture showed it well I picked this one glad I did. This is a great level and I like it very much not cheap like some I have bought before.

This is a high quality, very strong 8 ft level. It resists twisting and flexing in the middle exceptionally well considering its 8 foot span. When placed on the same surface next to my trusty DeWalt 4 foot level, it is spot on (I realize this is far from scientific, but gives me piece of mind since I believe the 4ft level I’ve been using for years to be very accurate).My first project with this level will be installing fence panels along my property line. It will be very easy to use a level that can span the entire distance of a panel to make sure everything is level and plumb. Milwaukee hit another one out of the park with this level!

Although I’m not a contractor by trade I’ve been doing construction for family, friends and business for over 45 years. In that time I’ve accumulated many levels in assorted sizes. Some, good quality, some, not so good. I’ve also been using Wilwaukee products, almost exclusively, for the past five years due to their exceptional quality so when I saw their new line of REDSTICK Magnetic Box Levels I knew I would be impressed. From experience I know their quality to be Top of the Line but the pricing of these levels definitely gave me sticker shock. Can they really be worth the price they’re asking? These levels incorporate all the high-end features you’d expect. Lifetime guaranteed .0005 in. accuracy, exceptional readability in all three vials, rubber end-caps, over-molded, non-slip grips (48 in. and up), strength of construction with an all-metal backbone and super strong amplified rare earth magnets. Also, all of them have a hanging-hole so they can be stored off the ground. I ordered an assortment of sizes to replace all my other levels. I can truly say that until you hold one of these in you hands you will never be able to appreciate the overall quality of this tool. Due to the high price point these are probably not the levels for the weekend handyman unless you demand the very best in your tools. I’m still not sure I can justify the selling price of these, I’d like to think they’re just testing the market, but bottom line, unless in the future there’s some major revelation in the level industry these are the ones I’ll be buried with. This level has all the right stuff; accuracy, durability, light weight, easy to view vials, rubberized ends and grips. The REDSTICK can be used on electrical work when leveling long runs of conduit, or on sheet metal work when installing new runs for HVAC ductwork, or when installing kitchen cabinets. As a plumber I always need accurate and heavy duty tools. This 2′ magnetic level was perfect for my needs. I used it most recently on a double laundry tub installation. The heavy weight and substantial “feel” of the level helped it stay in place while I adjusted the legs underneath the tub. I didn’t need the magnetic function for this job but it tested it on some nearby ductwork and it held quite well. The vials are nice and large so they’re easy to read even with the lousy lighting I was working with. I’ve been very pleased with all of my Milwaukee levels so far and count them as my favorites.

I own a numerous levels from several different manufacturers. Milwaukee’s entry into the market is bold and quite a solid offering. I’m impressed with the overall feel of the level and it’s fit and finish. One distinguishing feature is the overbuilt spirit vial, which is much more sturdy that those even from the top of the line manufacturers. That only really makes a difference if it takes a direct hit, which isn’t that common, but it’s nice to have. The bubble is large and the vials are set up such that they’re very easy to read.I lined it up with my yellow reference level and the readings were spot-on. I compared flipped and rotated the level to check for parallel and consistency and it was spot-on. That’s good because if a level fails that test then it’s not much good.The level is a little thicker and wider than many other levels. This is a bit of a mixed bag as it feels chunkier. That probably means it will last a bit longer but it also means it’s heavier and takes a little more effort to use.My only beef with this level is that it’s coming in at the top end of the price range for levels. I haven’t seen anything on it to justify that price point and it’s unclear if these will hold up over time like the best of breed. I would really like to see this come in somewhere lower in the market.

This level is great for any size product. It reads very accurately and is a great size and weight, making it easy to haul up and down the ladder. It can take abuse on a job site without really getting damaged, so it’s very durable and high quality. I dropped many times from the top of the ladder, and it’s still perfectly accurate with barely a scratch. I can’t praise these levels enough. Milwaukee definitely takes pride in their products.

The magnetic box level is encased with metal I think to increase durability of such a long level. It’s also easily portable with the molded hand grips and can be hung on the wall to maximize storage. Leveling additional closet shelving and countertop were easier with this length because it covered the length of the desired area; likewise the level gauges were quite visible enabling more precise measurement.

This is a super level. It had some very strong magnets that hold it in place exceptionally well. I have a couple of other “high dollar” brand name levels and I have compared the three against each other. All within fractions of a thousandth of each other. I expect this level to hold up well and last a lifetime with a nice padded hard case that I have bought to keep it in.
