Been waiting months for delivery of this boxed set of Milwaukee levels and I must admit the lengthy wait was definitely worth the time. Both of the two new Milwaukee levels have put my very old levels to shame. They are definitely easier to sight and use. Fit and finish are top notch and I now dread having to etch my name on both levels to prevent them from being stolen. These levels are NOT cheaply manufactured both workmanship and milling are a joy to behold. Weight of either the 2 or 4-footer levels are noticeably heavier due to the materials used . The vials housing the bubble fluid appears to be made of very high impact acrylic. Machining of the level body are simply a joy to see and feel. This is not a cheap level by any stretch of your imagination. Given reasonable care they can and will be passed down to the next generation homeowner or contractor. Well done Milwaukee!

For an aluminum level these are pretty hefty. They do weight more than any other level I have but they are not so heavy that it hinders their use. Unless you are using the 78 inch over head for extended periods. The construction of theses are really nice. The aluminum is straight and true and machined nicely. Even the 78 inch level is dead straight, over the entire length there is only .0015 inches of variation from high to low. I took them in to where I work and laid them on a granite surface plate and then took a feeler gauge to see how much it was out. The 32 inch level was dead flat over the entire length. The vials are a little larger in these levels then most other levels so they are easy to read at most angles and at arms length. The bumpers on the ends of these level is not plastic like most other level they are rubber and provide a nice cushion when bumped into things. The paint finish looks flawless and is a matte texture to aid in grip, but does seems to mark and scratch pretty easy, so I think it is paint not powder coat.I like using the longer level for checking to make sure door jams are plumb and straight, you would be surprised how much a jam can be out when using a 4 foot level. Also work well for finding highs and lows in floors, walls and ceiling.Accuracy of level is .0005 inches per inch which is good enough for any construction level of accuracy. If I did my math right that is equal to 0.028648 degrees. I placed a digital level on the 78 inch level and compared the results. I could not see a movement in the bubble when I lifted one end a 1/32 of an inch, but it did show on the digital level. Even at a 1/16 of an inch it is really difficult to see any movement in the bubble. I am not saying the level is not accurate, it is, it is just difficult to be precise as you can be with a digital level. But for most uses a bubble level is more than sufficient and much quicker to use. A digital is nice if you want to find the angle something is at, without having to do some trig to figure out the angle.

This Milwaukee Redstick two-pack (24” and 48”) level is a great combination set and is a significant step-up from my other levels. I reach for the 24” level for many of my everyday needs, such as when I want to check the level of a picture, appliance or other small item. I usually use the 48” level when I want to check the level of a cabinet project or window. The levels are very sturdy, heavy duty and have the quality of a professional grade level. The aluminum frame has two milled faces to ensure flatness. On the 48” level, there are hand grips built into the frame to make it easier to hold. The hand grips and end caps are made from a very durable non-slip material to protect the level. The end caps can be removed if you need the end of the level to be flush with the surface. What I like most about these levels are the large easy-to-read bubbles. The bubble tubes are larger than any of my other levels which makes it very easy to read from a distance. The two-pack makes a great set for both large and small projects.

I know these are made specifically to install doors and door jambs but they are awesome. You can see the bubble from any angle, low light and even from some distance. The material they are covered with almost feels like rubber, non-slip and easy to handle Since the bubble is huge and not hidden by little supports it’s so easy to see even without my glasses, and it’s dead-on just make a mark reverse the level use the same side upside down and you’ll see it’s right on.

These levels are a great duo that can handle any kind of project; heavy construction, home repair/remodel, carpentry, metal work, masonry etc. The magnetic strip is very useful, especially when we are working with steel beam construction, rebar etc. The compact design makes it easy to use on framing and other small projects, as well as making it easy to transport around big construction sites. I would recommend this product duo to anyone at any level of expertise. They are well made, high quality, and durable and priced right considering you’re receiving two of them.

Finally splurged and bought this set, not disappointed.

I really love the oversized vials. My eyesight is not as great as it once was. Much easier to see the bubble in low light. The beveled white frame around the vials helps illuminate the bubbles. Very accurate and sturdy. Constructed of a single piece of aluminumMilled edges give a bit of extra gripEnd caps slide off to reduce the lengthLarge nail holes in both levels for hangingEasy to handle with one hand in the vertical or horizontal positionFit and finish is very good. Should last a very long time.

These levels are absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough. The overall build quality is unbelievable. Milwaukee has hit a homerun with REDSTICK Levels. I have the competitors level and after having some time with this I am a fan of Milwaukee’s level now. The quality they put in is bar none. The vials are magnified and viewable at virtually all angles. These vials totally pop. They are built for the life of the level and are made from high impact polymer acrylic, which will withstand impacts of your tool or being drop. We know it does happen. The week area of the level is the same spot the vial is located. Milwaukee enhanced this issue. They designed their backbone rib casing design giving structural integrity to the overall level strengthening this area. The accuracy is .029 meaning it with in 5 the thousandths of an inch, simply amazing. I love these levels so much I also have a small 9” torpedo level ant the 16″ level. I’m completely sold on these levels. My 1 and only negative comment is the 16″ and 24″ don’t have had grips in them if they did these would be over the top. I should only give it 4 stars because of this but I like it soo much I’ll let it slide and go 5 stars.

This kit came well packaged without any damage. The levels are at lengths that make them perfect for installing doors. I put hook and loop tape at a couple of spots on each level and on the door jamb and was able to hang the doors while leaving the levels in-place and adjusting as necessary. Once the doors were installed the tape removed easily from the jambs and I left the softer loop sides on the levels. These are well constructed and the leveling tubes are easy to read.

I used it , and after I got done hanging a door, it wasn’t level. But I still need more time using it.

They’re so pretty I don’t even want to use them for work. I’ll just hang them on my tool room wall lol.

Excellent level from Milwaukee. These 78″ and 32″ magnetic “REDSTICK” levels are very robust and feels very strong. It has a great weight to it, so I am confident that it will last during my various projects. The two different lengths are perfect for those bigger projects such as cabinets, tables, doors, decks, etc., and smaller projects alike! The fact that it is magnetic is a surprisingly useful feature, not only for projects involving metal, but for storage! I currently have my Redstick levels stuck on the side of my large metal tool cabinet, that way I’m not wasting any space! The bubbles are very easy to read from dim to very bright light. The handles are easy to grip and the sides that are flat against your surfaces have a texture to it to provide a nice grip and prevent slipping. Additionally, the top black end caps can be removed if you need to fit it into an even tighter space. Pretty neat and I highly recommend!

I like the size of these levels. Wouldn’t pay this much again for anything besides a Stabila.
