I’ve taken a series of toy camera photographs with my Diana F+ of an abandoned amusement park and in my mind it required a paper that would best show-off not only the decay of the park but also the quirkiness gained from such a simple piece of equipment. With the paper’s beautiful, pearl and metallic sheen, and it’s true-ness to the odd colorations, the images pop right off the page. I brought them to an informal throw-down at a local photography gallery, and my fellow photographers were as excited about the paper as they were the images. I can’t find fault with the paper–the mill’s profile was spot-on, so I was able to print without the drudgery of adjusting and readjusting settings to make the stock work with my printer and computer. So of course, I’m now intrigued and am ordering sample packages of Moab’s other paper.

I’m really happy with the first print I made with this. It was a night sky shot with a tree and water in the forground. The stars shine and water gleams amaizingly! The profile was spot on and it just worked really well. The second print I made was of a snowy forest and it didn’t work as well. The white snow looked silver and it throws off the contrast between it and the trees. I’ll print a proof sheet before I go big with this one again but I can say that the good is great.

Excellent paper, with a great contrast and that metallic print look. I use a Epson artisan 50 with dye ink to create sports cards for my customers. using this wonderful paper gives my projects that extra something special.

This is becoming my new favorite paper. It prints well with a variety of different subject matter. HDR photos jump off the page. It has just enough of a pearl finish to make images pop, but not so mach to be distracting.

I am printing fine art Car and Motorcycle pictures, using the Pearl finish to help bring out the Metallic shine of the Cars and Motorcycles making them look fantastic

I like all Moab papers and this one is great as well- My personal taste for glossy papers is I don’t like when you look at the print from an angle and the print looks muddy in the darks and whites- which happens with this paper.

My favorite non-metal media. It isn’t quite a Retina screen, but for paper prints on this continue to thrill me for landscapes, night time city scapes, even a few engagement photos with golden light or streams. Could not find any better for mountain sunrise/set in mountain pools and ponds.

Works beautifully with metallic sheen subjects, e.g., chrome plated surfaces.

I purchased the 13×19 and have printed it on an Epson 1900 with colored pigment ink. I have printed pictures of 4×6, 5×7 and 8×10 by carefully cutting some of the 13X19 sheets as well as printing at 13×19. I have observed the pictures having high contrast to be particularly good and the wildlife at waters edge, sunrise and sunset pictures over the ocean to be absolutely stunning. I purchased the Slickrock Metallic Pearl paper for a specific purpose and it has met all of my expectations.

I love the Slickrock Metallic Pearl for photos that need to look like they are radiating light. I use it for photos like sunsets, clouds, astrophotography and things like that. It is good for night scenes as well.
Haylee Schaefer (verified owner) –
The sheen this metallic paper provides is perfect for my astroscape and nightscape photography; it separates the black space from the stars and nebulosity in a fantastic way.
Rebecca Ullrich (verified owner) –
I really like the depth that this paper gives, even on B&W and nearly desaturated prints. IT looks best without glass in front of it, but even framed the prints are quite special.

Nice quality. Love the finish.

The sheen of the paper has almost a metallic look to it. Make the Black and White prints stand out the most. Whe this order is used up I am most definitely will order it again.

Works great with the pixma pro 100. I like this size to go with the 8×10 mattes that are readily available online. This paper works best with high contrast scenes.
