I like this paper as an alternative to the more traditional glossy papers. Although this is a metallic paper, it’s not over the top as may be the case for other metallic paper types. However, you should still experiment with this paper since it may not be appropriate for certain types of photographs. This is a resin coated paper, so it doesn’t have the weight or feel of heavier cotton-based papers.

I wanted to write a review on this paper because I have been blown away by the results that this paper was able to produce on my Canon IPF6450. My monitors have been calibrated using XRite’s Color Munki Photo. I used the icc profile that I have downloaded from Moab’s website. I followed Moab website’s instructions exactly. I usually have some doubts about the manufacturer’s claims of promising the heavens and the moon….however, this paper does deliver all that Moab claims. I have tried printing a B&W landscape and a color landscape photo with this paper. The images really do POP. I have tried printing the same exact images using the same settings using my former landscape paper of choice, Canon Platinum Pro Paper for a side by side comparison. The Moab’s paper gives the images an extra dimension that we are always looking for in our landscape photos. I cannot imagine this paper being appropriate for all landscape photos, however, if used correctly, I think that this paper will give your images an extra edge. I am very happy with my results. I am going to be ordering the 24×100 roll next.

Really nice 3-D effect. I do not usually print on glossy paper, but for particular photos that need an added sparkle, this truly fits the bill.

I am a landscape photographer so I bought it for face mounting photos to plexiglass. I do have to say that it only looks good with certain photos…..not all photos look good on the metallic paper…….all in all….I think it looks great. The ICC profile provided was not as good as the settings for glossy paper profile……I give my images a higher concentration of contrast and use the gloss paper profile for printing……..looks fantastic.

This paper is great. You get a slight reflection of light from the base creating an almost 3D look to your work. After I created a profile using my Munki prints came out perfect. The stock icc wasn’t bad either. I’ve do mostly architectural and found that photos with nice textures and lots of lines really shine on this paper as the lines are more pronounced with the metallic look. Great paper!

I like the high resolution and the subtlety of the metallic effect. It adds some very nice enhancement without looking gimmicky. When you want to make things obvious than the Metallic Silver is the way to go. But when you want the extra reflection without being so obvious, this Metallic Pearl is great.

Any moisture from touching or even breathing heavily on this paper destroys the print…paper turns white…beautiful prints but they would have to be immediately sealed in some way from moisture in air or from people handling it. Cannot be sealed with any liquid sealant as you can with regular photo paper…that turns it white. I dont think anyone but professional print shops who can seal it instantly after printing would be able to produce a lasting print.

I used this product for my Creative Concepts final and my Location Photography final for Ai (Art Institute of Austin). I definitely recommend this paper, the quality is really nice and it has a wonderful metallic finish.

For the right image this is the best, I always mount it to another surface, paper or plastic, before framing due to it very light nature it can sag after time.

My printer can’t pick up this paper for some reason unknown to me. Must be due to its’ surface as far as I can tell. Would be nice to see what it looks like. One piece got halfway through but then jammed the printer.

This paper is unreal and ads a luminance to prints that’s amazing. Cannot wait to start printing bigger. The prints are more delicate so beware of dust!

I love this paper – which I sometimes use for a slightly non-realistic sheen in certain fine art landscapes. It cannot be thought of as a white paper. It is metallic and therefore generates a very slight grey. If that effect comes from a conscious choice, it can be enhancing, adding a gorgeous pop to an image. However, if not, the results can seem unexpected, weird, or just wrong!

Am new to the printing game, but have tried 5 or 6 papers now. I have printed both colour and B and W with the paper and to my surprise love B and W printing on it. There is a wonderful tonal range with no funny silvering mentioned with other matallic papers. Most of all I love the almost 3 D effect it gives when shone under illumination. This for me is it’s edge and why I will buy again

Moab Slickrock is riddle wrapped in an enigma posing as a question. Do you want this effect? Or not? For the right image, it’s wonderful both color and monochrome. It is reminiscent of a pure metallic but not overwhelmingly so. It’s one of the products you have to try. If you have the right image, nothing else will touch it. If not blah! I like it a lot for the work I do. I recommend a trial package for your images. I think you’ll like it!

I enjoy printing certain images on a metallic finish paper for a more 3 dimensional look. It is not easy to find 11×14 sized papers of this type, so it is a treat when I can print the slightly larger album or wall print size on my home printer.
