This 24″ x 100′ roll of Somerset Enhanced Velvet 255 from Moab combines an archival 100% cotton paper with a velvet textured matte surface that is durable for everyday handling. It features a heavy basis weight of 255 gsm as well as a thickness of 18 mil. Also, it has a rated opacity of 96% and whiteness of 97%. Additionally, it is both acid free and calcium carbonate buffered for longevity.

My print clients love this stuff – as it’s the last handmade paper out of England. it’s a great matte, with decent d-max – albeit a bit of a wallet crusher. if your clients are touchy feely with their paper, this is a winner.

I use it on an Epson 2200 with all the profile settings for Epson Watercolor — Radiant White paper and it works beautifully. Especially with matt black ink.

Time for holiday cards and I wanted a higher quality paper to print my B&W images on than the std inkjet cards. Have used Epson Cold Press but wanted something with a bit more textural feel to it as well as a bit lighter/thinner for folding. This worked perfectly and will be a great paper for prints
