I bought 2 of these for a triple screen. Bad idea. The magnet problem is two-fold. First, the magnets damaged my new laptop of a few thousand $ and it never recovered even months after I let these devices touch it. I’m still seeing errors that weren’t present prior. Second, the magnet method is not a secure one. They need to drop the magnets entirely. The screen size was great compared to the alternatives I saw, but the execution made it completely impractical. Don’t let the relatively high overall review number fool you like it fooled me. I didn’t feel right about reselling these because I didn’t want to sabotage someone else’s laptop and didn’t want to return them because the value from the credit card bonus exceeded the purchase price (& I would have lost the bonus if I returned them), so I put these in the dumpster where they belong.

Id give it 5 stars if it was easier to set up. I got this for my work laptop and had to have the IT dept. remotely take over my account and set it up because I dont have administrative rights. It took them 2 hours over 2 days to figure it out. That said, the instructions seemed really straight forward, so its entirely possible the IT people got it wrong. I have a friend who has this and she set it up in minutes by herself. Anyway now that its working life is good. It looks gray, is super easy to use and swim not flipping back and forth between screens to edit multiple documents. Since the pandemic hit Ive been working from home at the dining room table in a small apartment, so I didnt want a full size, stand up screen I’d have to unplug and find some place to store it every evening so we can use the table for dinner. Now I just slide the screen back, close my laptop and Im done.

The display itself was fine.I am the type of person who likes to have 3 displays and using this along with just my laptop worked out better than I had expected. And I actually used it for about 2 weeks.I ended up returning it because the hinge is a bit problematic. When opened. if the table is a little shaky the monitor dips a bit and the bottom left corner of the display would fall behind my computer.I ended up returning this and getting the Sidetrak Swivel instead. I’ve been a lot happier with it.

I love this product. It has helped me significantly with being more efficient and also makes it easy when on a zoom call and I don’t want the 3rd party to see the information I am looking at – added privacy. Great ease to use and install.

I was super excited about this when I got it as a gift, however, the screen is extremely fragile especially considering its main benefit is being portable. The first one I had was damaged when I received it with lines going down the screen. This replacement I bought has developed these small light spots from traveling in my backpack (in a laptop case). Overall, not good for traveling so you may as well buy a regular monitor.

I don’t know if it’s the driver you have to install or the connection, but it keeps freezing and flickering.

The colors are vibrant, it’s easy to set up and attach, and easy to use. The only negative thing about it is that it’s supposed to have speakers on the monitor, and when plugged in, it switches the audio to the monitor, but I can’t find anywhere to adjust the volume so I can hear through it. Every time I plug it in (remote work site), I have to remember to reset all the audio and speakers to the computer itself, or I can’t hear anything, and neither can the other side. I went through the manual from front to back, and it’s not addressed in the manual, nor in website other than to say that it has two speakers on the monitor itself.

Love its compact, mobile style, general utility, and screen quality. However, it constantly disconnects from my laptop causing workflow disruption, and no amount of following online instructions to fix this issue has worked so far.

This has been SO HELPFUL! It gives me the freedom to move around to different spots at home or to leave the house, even travel, and do my job just as effectively as I can with my normal dual-monitor setup at the office.

If you use only USB, then you can use just the power ports on the monitors to prevent them from frequently turning off. Only 2 cords total for power and screen. The driver must also be installed.Lenovo Legion Y540

Works fine under Windows10. No setup needed. I used a plate holder instead of the magnets, so I can’t speak to the magnet mounting but using the plate holder I can position it where I want and get a truly mobil, lightweight solution for 2 monitors on the road. Also draws very little current, which is great when running off the grid. Picture is sharp and clear. Cosmetically, the frame has a corner that the black shiny tape they use has a bubble under it. I can overlook this. Pretty minor imperfection. Otherwise a great solution.

I’ve been working from home since March and use lots of different screens at once. This has helped so much in having two screens at home. I wish it was as large as my laptop screen but still works great for what I need. This item is great and I have no complaints about it except for the magnetic connection to the laptop. The magnets they give you aren’t the same shape as the ones on the screen and they aren’t strong. I’ve used all the ones that they gave me and every time I need to slide the screen in and out the entire thing moves along the back of the laptop. it also slides off easily so if I pick up the laptop I have to hold onto the screen pretty tightly.

The monitors work very well, and was the best value given the price. With 2 screens attached for triple monitors is not the best though since it is a heavy and will often fall down.

Do not feel overwhelmed if you are having difficulty getting your laptop to recognize your new monitor. I spent two days trying to download drivers & restarting my computer so my laptop would acknowledge a 2nd screen. I followed the step by step instruction on the enclosed booklet before deciding to contact support. Long story short… if you look at your new monitor… you will see there are TWO plug ins. All I had to do was move the cable to the other plug in and IT WORKED. The tech support rep was very helpful and kind. It would’ve been helpful if the directions on the enclosed instruction booklet had mentioned in the “trouble shooting” section something about SWITCHING PLUG INS. Otherwise, this is a nice product and I look forward to using it.

The monitor is great and quite light! The only minus is that, if you use a stand for your laptop and the monitor will hang on the air, the magnets are not strong enough to hold it and it slides down. So, you need something to support the bottom of the second screen. Other than that, it’s perfect!

This is a game changer for tax season. Since working from home, I miss my needed 3 screen setup at the office and needed a solution. These best part is that these are portable. My laptop is large (17 inch) and we were still able to get these to work with the clip that is provided. If you are doing a 3 screen setup, read the instructions twice and watch a few videos before doing it. Not hard at all.

This monitor is worth the money. Working from home is now easier. The picture and screen quality are great and easy to set up.

Im really happy with the screen. The sharpness could be better, but it does its job for me. The price is reasonable. Id give it 5 stars for its compact and genius way it attached to laptops and its storability!

Bought for my wife’s laptop – she loves to sit outside when the weather’s nice. Attaching it was easy, plugged it in, and it auto-configured (Win10) nicely. However, when she uses it, she has to have her laptop screen upright – which is not ideal – else the weight of the extra screen just pulls it over. I bought the extra stand, but that’s not useful when she’s in the porch swing. Apart from that, she’s a fan.
