It doesn’t hold up. Just droops down all the time.

I had a lot of skepticism even when ordering this product and compared to other similar products that are available right now or coming soon (which aren’t many).Overall design concept and build: 4 starsOverall concept is actually well thought out. I admit that the plastic backpanel on which magnets are attached to feels a bit flimsy. But it does the job, and argument can be made that it’s for reducing weight. Minus one star for the cheap feel. The steel discs and magnets might feel like a joke, but actually it works better than expected for a few reasons. Two Trios weigh as much as a laptop itself, and putting that much weight on the laptop screen housing will either damage the hinges down the road or make the laptop do a backflip. The magnets attach to the discs but they have some wiggle room so that it slides down to the desk surface and puts Trio’s weight on the desk instead of the laptop screen. The wiggle room between the magnet and discs actually allows you tilt the laptop backwards more for better viewing angle, and keep the Trio’s weight on the desk surface. A lot of similar product’s solutions like hanging the portable monitors on the edge of laptop screen puts a lot of weight on the hinge. My bet is that your viewing angle will be very limited, almost 90 degrees upright. Tilt the screen back, and most laptop hinges won’t be able to hold up the weight of two extra screens.**I have a windows laptop and attached a thin cut-to-order polycarbonate sheet matching my laptop size, used Velcro fasteners to attach the polycarbonate sheet to behind the laptop screen. The velcro stickers will be much easier to remove down the road than metal discs without getting some scuffs. For Macbook users, I strongly suggest using a hard case.***Connectivity:I wish it had a mini HDMI like other portable monitors. USB-C input is fine, buttery smooth. But using USB-A input makes it laggy, feels like a remote desktop or the Duet app on the iPad (since it uses the same DisplayLink technology over USB A). My laptop only has one USB-C so I have to live with the laggy screen on one side. It’s okay for static screens, but lag is noticeable when you play a video, and forget gaming with USB-A connection.Other notes:When you attach two 14 inch Trios to a 15inch laptop, the width of a triple monitor setup is similar to a 43 inch monitor when toed in, and wider when not toed in. You’re not going to be able to pull out both at most cafe’s or any public space. A single unit should suffice for most users. It’s lighter as well. If you do decide to get two Trios, make sure you have two USB C ports or be ready to live with a lag on one of them.

It is extremely difficult to do my job with only 1 laptop screen which has made me hesitant to travel or take PTO and be away from my WFH or office set up. This product has solved my issue and I am able to work from anywhere now. As good as I could ask for laptop screens.

I really like the clarity and brightness of the screen but it was so heavy that the magnets could not hold it up and it would slant to one side until it rested on the table. In addition, I couldn’t center the screen on the back of my laptop. It had to stick out just so much so you could bring the screen into you for better viewing. Overall Not worth the money because it didn’t solve my convenience issue. I ended up going with one that was separate from the laptop. I could find any where a review didn’t say that it was too heavy to stay straight on your laptop without sliding down.

I previously had an Asus USB-3 connected screen, but the USB-3 port went bad, so I opted for this model instead. I love it – great screen quality. I really like the magnetic attachment, as I don’t need to carry any sort of stand. I would highly recommend this product.

Love having dual screens on my laptop. I work with two monitors at work and on my desktop and always feel out of synch when I use my laptop. This dual screen ends those frustrations. It does not seem to draw my battery life, it comes to life quickly and easily and behaves just like a second monitor.I was a little worried about the video resolution, if it sounds too good to be true and all of that… but no need to worry. I think it looks great, and aside from being a tad smaller than my laptop monitor, it looks the same. Well worth the money spent, I am getting a ton of use out of mine.

These screens were the answer to my problems!I work off of a 17″ laptop. Working in marketing, I always have a LOT of windows open at any given time to get projects done. Switching widows around with only one screen was frustrating to say the least. But to add an external monitor was not an option as I’m working in a small space out of my home and have to put everything away at the end of the day. Then came these screens! Yes, I bought two to extend my work space to three screens. My only concern was the fact that my laptop is a 17″ and these monitors are meant for up to 15″ laptops, but I was at a lost for any other solution to my unique situation. I figured I’d give them a try and return them if it just wasn’t going to work out. But they work for my setup!! Granted I wouldn’t recommend using them on a laptop so much bigger than the recommended size if you are going to be doing this somewhere where you need to move your setup at the drop off a hat or a lot of movement around your work area. But as I can set it up in a secure area, there hasn’t been any issue of the monitors being nocked off of my laptop. It’s been awesome being able to go from one screen, to two, to three and back as my needs demand. The only issue I have run into is that I can not use a rotating, or slideshow, wallpaper with the monitors (it doesn’t matter if it’s just one or both) attached. When the wallpaper is set to rotate, the screens will flash off and on, rotate orientation and sometime move my windows around when the transition occurs. Problem was solved by simply setting my wallpaper to a single wallpaper, no slideshow feature.I’ve been very happy with these monitors overall and love the flexibility they have provided!

Loving the Trio experience, Arrived perfectly packaged with necessary clips to connect both screens.Perfect output, no dead pixels, worth the buy! Multi-tasking is a breeze and being able to reference multiple sources at once has made reporting my work so much easier!

Stunning picture and screen works perfect!! Only concern is the magnet connection. When all connected it’s definitely not meant to be overly portable. I work with my laptop in my lap – a LOT…This works fine for that purpose.

I LOVE having the triple screens when I’m mobile. Especially using QuickBooks in multi screen mode and having to have spreadsheet or PDF’s opened at the same time. But it made my light as feather computer feels like I’m walking around with my desktop. Wish there was some way to make it lighter for mobility.

I was looking into portable monitor options and came across this. This is exactly what I was looking for. There are similar monitors that have similar functions, but after doing thorough research he Mobile Pixels Trio came out on top. I received my package quickly and despite my concern about the monitors being shipped everything was safe and sound. I am using these monitors for multitasking and they are exactly what I expected and very easy to set up. I travel with my monitors frequently and I am very happy with the versatility. Thank you MobilePixels.

I love these monitors. I purchased two 12.5 inch Trios less than 40 days ago and have been using them for work ever since. They are easy to setup on my laptop and configure for used. The magnets don’t appear to be strong enough to secure two monitors so some type of support under the added monitors is needed so that all three screens line up. It is a minor annoyance but from a functional standpoint, the monitors are effective tools for increasing productivity.HOWEVER, the hinge on both monitors has broken. When I try to rotate either monitor towards me from behind my laptop, they fail to rotate. It also looks like the end of the screen starts to become displaced from the edge of the plastic monitor housing. Both the monitor housing and the casing that provides the tracks that the monitor slides along appear to be made from very brittle plastic.

The TRIO MAX product was supposed to be able to take 2 sliding screens and magnetically attach to the back of your laptop screen. The magnets are not strong enough. There are 4 magnets built into the screen that attaches to the back of the laptop. it would not hold it and every-time I attached it the 2 sliding screens with fall off or slide off the magnet. There conservatively needs to 6 magnets not 4 magnets. I have to use Gorilla Tape to make this set up stay in place. The problem with that idea is once i use the double sided tape it will be very difficult to remove it.Do not buy this product. The manufacturer would not help or find a solution on their own product.

After being stuck at home working during SARS-CoV-2, since mid-March, after a few weeks it became clear that my home “office space” with a laptop and a two other screens was caving in…Have a nice patio/backyard but moving all the screens out during the day and back in during the night got tiring really quick. Saw this awesome attachable screen to my laptop and…BOY WAS I BLOWN AWAY BY THIS SCREEN! Sooo vivid, easy to use and convenient…Why didn’t I think of it?…lol Now I take my work everywhere! Backyard, beach, living room, park and still get my work done. (of course gotta wear your mask outside). SO IMPRESSED, I’VE ORDERED A SECOND ONE…SO I WILL HAVE 3 SCREENS AND TAKE THEM ANYWHERE AND FEEL SO MUCH HAPPIER !!!

I love all the extra desktop space the 2nd monitor provides. I can work on so many things without having to context switch as much. I can’t wait for the 2nd monitor to come so I can have 3 screens to work on!I wish I had this screen in grad school! That would have helped my studying so much!

The design is OK however:1.) It attaches to the main screen with a magnet which is poorly designed not to mention the fact that magnets and hard-rives DO NOT go together…. You can accidently wipe out or corrupt your hard drive2.) Unless it’s resting on a table, the extra screen is flimsy and doesn’t attach perfectly.I still use it because I love multiple screens but the flimsy attaching capability should be redesigned.

I delayed and delayed looking at a second screen solution for my laptop. I finally pulled the trigger with this one and I am not disappointed. Once you understand how to position it (the magnets are not meant to hold the screen up, but to attach the screen to the back of the laptop.) everything works like a charm. The screen has great color and clarity. Attaching and detaching it from your laptop is a breeze. It hooks up in literal seconds. I am very satisfied with this product!

I ordered a Trio when it was on Kickstarter. It worked for about 6 months than started to flicker a lot and now it is a black screen that just says “please wait”. This has been stuck in my closet for about a year because it does not work. I am about to throw out because I cannot find any answers to my problem.
