My second monitor has been a lifesaver while working from home during the pandemic. It’s also lightweight and portable. I can’t image working without it! One of the cables became defective over time, and the customer service was timely and excellent; they immediately sent me over a new one, free of charge. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a double monitor..

Screen and concept are cool but this product didn’t work with my Lenovo laptop. Attaching it to the back causes my screen to shut off. Not sure why but read on some other sites that this issue is specific to pairing with Lenovo laptops.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The Good:It actually works! The quality is very crisp and you can have a very nice second monitor that you can take with you.You need Drivers for the Mac OS but once you have that, it works flawlessly. So far, I love it.The Not So Good:It’s a little bulky, and at first when closing the screen, it wants to fall off the back of your computer instead (see video). That will probably get better with more use. It’s just a little clunky.Magnets:I’m not sure how magnets on the back of the screen will impact the OEM display, but this is a work laptop so that’s inconsequential to me luckily. I think it’ll be fine though. The magnets aren’t crazy strong. It’s just to balance it. The weight of the screen goes directly onto the tabletop surface below your laptop.

It’s obvious that the Mobile Pixel Trio is a well-constructed, and thoughtfully designed product. I was up and running within 3 minutes of opening the box. Simple, intuitive set up with one-cable connection, and a sleek look that doesn’t add any significant bulk. I am constantly on the move at work, so the ability to quickly pack up and re-establish at a different location is key. 5 seconds of setup/teardown for a 2nd screen is incredible. Kudos to the team at Mobile Pixel! One quick note on size: the Trio reaches side to side and top to bottom on my 14″ Levono. Although the product is described as being for 12-14″ screens, I don’t think I would like it as much if it were larger than my laptop. Any users with screens smaller than 14″ may want to consider a smaller model.(Full disclosure: I was compensated for this review, but I would’ve given 5-stars even without the compensation)

My screen first monitor did not function. I contacted customer service and they weren’t able to assist me so the sent me a replacement. It arrived in 2 days. It works properly. I like the quality and it will help me become more productive on my business.

I am heavily reliant on multiple monitors, and this product was perfect for me to be able to take the show on the road. Fit in my laptop case, and easily attaches and detaches. On the plane, I did not use the multiple monitors, but upon arrival I was instantly ready to get down to business. Easy set up, plug and play. Magnets are strong and provide adequate stability – based on the position of the notebook “lid”. Important to position the bottom of the Mobile Pixels Trio Max on your working surface for added stability. Highly recommend.

The idea is good and defintly ther is nothig like it in the market. Nevertheless the product is bad and a total wast of mony. The quality of the materials are cheep and does not reflect the price you pay for, it doesn’t work in all laptops as it say, it only works if your screen is thick enoght to prevent to be damage by the magnets. I had a big disulition when I recibed the product. For the same price you can buy a tradicional portable screen of lenovo o acer, that will work much better, and which was built with durable materiales. This product is so bad and useless that I actually bought a lenovo portable screen, for the same prince, and it is thousen times better than this one. If you don’t want to lose your money please don’t buy this product.I hope this honest review will prevent someone from commenting on the same mistake I made.

This monitor makes working from home so much more productive for me. The picture quality is great and the size is perfect. My only complaint is that it can slide off the magnets easily when pulling it open while attached to the laptop. Its a small price to pay for the convenience and quality.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I work off a triple monitor setup at home and have to say I have became almost fully dependant on my three monitors. Doing my job from a single monitor is painstaking and extremely inefficient and as someone who frequently travels and stays in hotels I find myself really demotivated towards work when I am travelling and when I do work I find my self extremely unproductive. I purchased a portable gaming monitor before but because it has a separate stand and sits at a different angle from my laptop screen I have never really managed to become productive with it.When I seen this I knew is was the solution. I bought one trio display to try it out and I have to save I’m hugely impressed. The monitor could be thinner in all honesty and the frame is a little plasticky, but in terms of functionality and multi-tasking it’s fantastic. The unit fits onto my MacBook with the magnets no problem, the magnets are very strong and hold it in place without issue, the screen is easy to pull out and stow away and the quality of the image is good too.It took me a while to realised I could charge the macbook and monitor by connecting the power cable into the side of the trio monitor, at first I thought I could only run it off battery, when I found out this I was relieved as I sometimes work for 10 hours straight and my battery only lasts a few hours.I’m not sure this unit is for everyone and it is expensive, however for someone like me who is dependant on a triple monitor setup for productivity, this is an excellent purchase that’s worth every penny. Buying a second trio soon to get the triple display.

In this new, remote-work world, these portable monitors are life-changing. They work well and don’t seem to drain my laptop’s battery too much when going unplugged. There was a problem with using the magnets to attach it to the back of my laptop screen, but the Mobile Pixels Help resolved that lickety-split.
Camylle Keebler (verified owner) –
This is not a quality product. Attempted to install and the screen immediately is dropping down and causing a crooked screen. The magnets used are much stronger than the 3M tape used to attach and once removed once they never work again. I obviously, do not recommend.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. As an avid laptop user, i always find that i could do with an extra screen, however with a laptop the only way i knew of doing this was to have a setup at home on my desk with cables everywhere and a hub to share the image across one or more extra screens, most of the time this means that the extra monitors are oversized and you don’t use your laptop monitor…such an annoying mess around and a waste. This setup however suits me down to a T, i now have an extra monitor that is attached to my laptop that i can use if and when i want to, If i need a quick job done, i open the laptop as normal, if i need a larger project that would be better on multiple screens, i pop the second monitor open and i’m away. The ability to just switch between one and the other is amazing.I do have to point out, you’ll need to buy another one if you want the 3 screen setup as i think i’ll be doing that soon myself hopefully. Although 2 screens is still a massive improvement.Usability wise, the setup is reasonably straight forward, you get a bundle of magnets so it can be installed on multiple laptops, these magnets fix to the back of your laptop screen and allows the mechanism to sit securely in place, yes this thickens the laptop, but it’s a worthwhile trade off. There’s also a clip included, this is for when i get my third screen…coming soon… It also has the cables you need to connect them up, although i may try and get a shorter version specifically for my laptop to try and tidy it up a little bit moreAll in however, it’s a nice stylish setup that gives me more visibility when out and about without the hassle of a full desk setup.

I purchased 2 of the Trio Max screens and I am glad that I did. They allow me to view multiple documents without having to constantly open and close windows. The directions were easy to read and setup was very easy. I am very happy with my purchase and now to convince my company for a reimbursement…….

Thouht it was two screen not one. Not worth the price. I rather buy an individual.

I used this on my work computer when I’m out on the floor at work. Very good screen and clear. It is a little heavy, but nothing you can’t handle in one arm. They also sent extra magnets which is a plus.
Meghan Lakin (verified owner) –
I was so excited to get my trio but unfortunately they did not live up to the hype! They are really heavy which is my biggest complaint. The cords to attach them are obnoxiously in the way when traveling. Certain programs don’t understand the monitors. For instance my snipping tool changes the size of the screen and so far I cannot find a way around it so I have to close the monitors and go back to a single screen in order to use a function that I use constantly throughout the day. It is still nice to have three screens when I’m traveling and not have to carry around monitors. But in hindsight I would not of spent the money on these again. I’m sure eventually they will be worth the investment but I would return these if I could.

I purchased two 14″ Trio Max displays so my laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad) could have a 3-monitor setup. But the displays are much too heavy for the hinge to support, plus the magnets are not even close to strong enough to support 2 displays’ weight. The magnets are good for 1 display but not for 2. To address this I understand you’re supposed to position them lower so they ‘rest’ on the table. That doesn’t work out practically since this laptop has a charging port on the back. So that means the weight of the main display + 2 Trio Max’s would be pressing down on the power plug- Not good!I emailed customer support to see if they could provide a solution(kickstand), after 5 days no response and I’m unable to use the Trio Max displays.Should be 0 stars for having an unusable product, but +1 because when I plugged in the displays via USB-C the picture quality/resolution was great… just can’t be mounted to my laptop which is the whole point!Summary: Warning to potential buyers- if you are planning on having 3 displays or if your laptop charging plug is on the back of the computer the magnets won’t be enough! And don’t expect customer support to be responsive since they weren’t in my case.

Goal was to use this to increase productivity for work and personal. Been blown away by the quality.I am able to do everything faster than ever and gaming on these are ridiculous. Worth the money to triple my monitor space on my laptop. I bought two to add monitors to the left and the right of my main setup. Hardware installation was simple. USB-C Compatability made the connection instant with my Macbook.Software installation was smooth for even my older laptops using the USB driver. Both displays were installed and working right out of the box.Great purchase you won’t regret I even bought the kickstands for variety.

Really liked it, so handy that can carry with you in the laptop bag, no more big screens required.
