This charcoal black Aerio Messenger Bag from Moshi is a shoulder bag designed to provide easy, on the go access to a laptop or tablet along with books, binders, files, and electronics. The Aerio Messenger Bag’s dedicated 15" laptop or tablet compartment features a touch-tab fastener to secure any items placed within it. Two open organizational pockets are included along the outer wall of the laptop/tablet compartment. Both pockets include touch-tab fasteners and folding sections which allow one pocket to contract, for a snug fit around small electronics such as battery chargers and computer peripherals, while the adjoining pocket can expand to accommodate a pair of over-ear headphones or medium-sized DSLR camera with up to a medium-sized zoom lens attached.
This messenger bag’s main compartment provides a good solution for carrying books, binders, and files. For a smartphone or other small electronics, as well as pens, one open pocket and two pen pockets are located opposite of the two variable-size pockets.
There is additional organizational space for books, binders, files, and other miscellaneous items in both an open pocket and a zippered pocket which are located under the front flap. For items that need to be constantly accessed without opening the front flap, a zippered pocket on the outside of the front flap and a deep, zippered pocket along the rear of this Aerio Messenger Bag are also included. Inside that rear zippered pocket is an open pocket for a smartphone or other small electronics, plus a key ring clip. The front flap can be secured through the use of two snap-buckles which can be tightened or loosened, depending on the degree to which the bag is filled.
Even when loaded, this Aerio Messenger Bag remains easy to carry. Aside from a top carry handle and an integrated adjustable strap, a removable shoulder pad is included. To further enhance comfort, a portion of the strap’s base features an elastic webbing that minimizes bounce and movement in opposition to the wearer. For added convenience while traveling, a rear luggage strap allows this messenger bag to be slipped over most telescoping handles that are frequently found in rolling suitcases and luggage.

Issues with the bag: 1) when you have a laptop/weight in the bag and hold it by the handle (not the strap) it tips to one side, looking and feeling extremely awkward. 2) When you adjust the shoulder strap, all the excess material has nowhere to go so it just hangs off the side as a big loop which does not look good. 3) The suitcase strap on the bag is a nice feature, but it did not work with our standard carry-on suitcase handle – it is too snug, has no wiggle room for easy removal. Had to wrestle the bag off the suitcase in the midst of boarding a plane. Issues with customer service: This was a gift for my husband. He used it for a work trip and disliked it because of the issues listed above. But because it was a gift, he wanted to give it another shot so used it on a subsequent trip. Because of this, we were past the 30 day return policy. B & H would not budge on the return. I think of it as a defective product because of the serious functional design issues. But they were still not willing to come toward me at all (and I have been a customer for about 25 years). Then I contacted Moshi directly, and I wont get into it, but that company hands down has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. So just beware that if you buy this bag, check out these issues before deciding to keep it!

I am very impressed with the difference between this and my old case. It seems to take pounds off the weight of my laptop and wacom tablet. I feel like the are very secure through rough use.
