Description
The B450I Gaming Plus AC AM4 Mini-ITX Motherboard from MSI is built on the AMD B450 chipset, supporting AMD Ryzen series processors with an AM4 socket. It has two RAM slots that can hold up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory at speeds of up to 3466 MHz when overclocked. For storage, there are four SATA III ports and a single M.2 slot, which can operate at up to 32 Gb/s when used with a compatible NVMe drive. While this motherboard is equipped with DisplayPort and HDMI ports for onboard graphics, it also has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot for a dedicated GPU. Other notable features include Realtek ALC887 7.1-channel HD audio, Intel I211AT Gigabit LAN, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2.
Please note that this motherboard does not currently support the AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors at this time. Support will be added through a BIOS update later in January, 2021.

My setup: Thermaltake Core V1, with a Ryzen 5 3400g and a couple of SSD drives, and a full size power supply. The only shortcoming is there are only 2 fan headers, so I bought a fan hub. No regrets, great small system.

Pros: Solid MB. Great price. Tiny size. Ports: 4 SATA, lots of USB 2 and 3, 2-Memory slots – currently you can go to 64GB. I have 16GB. I used the AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, so I didn’t need a graphics card. Cons: Only 2 fan headers, so I had to get a fan hub.

The system won’t power on. It was not cheap. I had high hopes for this one, but it arrived DOA for me. I’ve tested all the other components in a different build, and they work flawlessly. I will be calling MSI straight away about a full refund.
