Based on the Ampere architecture and designed to handle the graphical demands of 1080p gaming, the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 GAMING X Graphics Card brings the power of real-time ray tracing and AI to your PC games. The GPU features 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 256-bit memory interface, offering improved performance and power efficiency over the previous Turing-based generation.
The front panel of the card features a variety of outputs, such as DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.1 supports up to 48 Gb/s bandwidth and a range of higher resolutions and refresh rates, including 8K at 60fps, 4K at 120fps, and even up to 10K. The RTX 3060 is not just about high-resolution gaming. Computationally intensive programs can utilize the GPU’s 4864 cores to accelerate tasks using CUDA and other APIs.
For cooling, MSI implemented dual TORX 4.0 fans, which maximizes downwards airflow and air dispersion to the heat sink below them. This GPU also utilizes MSI ZeroFrozr technology to eliminate fan noise by stopping the fans in low-load situations. With RGB Mystic Light, you can customize colors and LED effects with exclusive MSI software and synchronize the look and feel with other MSI components.

I can only go off of my previous experiences replacing older graphics cards, but as far as a plug-and-play, this is as close as you’ll get in a 3060. Fan noise and heat were hardly issues. That said, we are entering newer price ranges for graphics cards and at the time of purchase, it was a something better than nothing period so I’m adequately satisfied

Runs all current gen games at their highest settings well. Even better with a 1440p display. Just keep in mind since its a 3000 series card it is fairly thick so be sure you know your cases dimensions for optimal cooling since they do get a little warm.

This is a great video card and reasonably priced. It works great in my PC. (NO Mac OS use as they stopped NVIDIA at 10.13). But this is not my issue. The card works great. I like that it uses less power than a AMD video card of comparable performance as well. This will keep your hardware running longer in your PC.
