MSI TRX40 PRO WIFI TRX4 ATX Motherboard

Compatible with 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors, the TRX40 PRO WIFI TRX4 ATX Motherboard from MSI has been designed with an extended heatsink for an improved thermal solution. This motherboard will fit in ATX sized cases, supports the TX4 socket and the TRX40 chipset, and is compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit).

The ATX form factor of the TRX40 PRO WIFI has eight 288-pin DDR4 slots that support up to 256GB of quad-channel memory, and the supported memory speeds are supported up to 4666 MHz when overclocked. For storage, there are eight SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, one M.2 Key M slot that supports type 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 PCIe 4.0 x4 and SATA III SSDs, plus one additional M.2 Key M slot that supports type 2242, 2260, and 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 and SATA III SSDs. The internal storage may be configured as RAID 0, 1, 10.

There is also one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port (rear panel), three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (rear panel), and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (rear panel), two USB 2.0 Type-A ports (rear panel). Internal USB headers support USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0. For those looking to expand their system using PCIe, there are four PCIe 4.0 x16 slots (supports x16/x8/x16/x8 mode) and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. For network connectivity, there are two Gigabit RJ45 ports, or take advantage of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless network and peripheral connectivity.

This motherboard does not support integrated graphics, meaning that users will need to purchase a dedicated and compatible graphics card of their choice. For users looking to take advantage of multiple GPUs, the TRX40 PRO WIFI supports 3-Way NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFire technologies.

Using the Realtek ALC1220 7.1-channel HD audio codec, this motherboard can support audio with higher fidelity than standard controllers. There is also an additional Realtek ALC4050H codec that supports front and rear panel mic-in, plus S/PDIF output. Audio can also be output using the integrated five 3.5mm audio outputs on the rear panel. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.
