My wife and I sought out a tall black Christmas tree for several weeks, but it seemed as if the only quality products were quite high in price and we were reluctant to make a large investment with a purchase over the internet (as opposed to having the ability to see and feel the quality of the artificial tree in person). We were browsing Home Depot’s website for another item and happened upon a few black Christmas trees from National Tree Company. All of the reviews (however few) were very positive, and the price was right, so we took a chance and made the purchase. After about a month of owning this product, we can say without hesitation that this National Tree Company North Valley Black Spruce Christmas tree exceeded all of our expectations: perfect height at 7 1/2 feet, true ink-black color (not any grayish tone as appears on some of the pictures), ample volume/fullness, and easy setup. The only negatives we can think of is that the end of the branches do poke so expect a few light scratches during setup, and also it does shed a tiny bit when jostled around during the setup and decorating — but this happens with every Christmas tree, whether real or artificial. Overall, a tremendous value for a handsome artificial tree.
