This is my second dehydrator, the first one like this I purchased almost 30 years ago and have used it every one of those 30 years. The trays from the Harvestmaster (Nesco bought out the company) fit on this one, and all of the parts look similar, the fan is a little noisier, but I can use all 24 trays and it still dries it in less time than most dehydrators. The home depot price is fantastic, it includes 8 trays, 8 fruit leather trays, and 8 quick release trays (these make a huge difference when drying fruit.) All the other places only included 1 fruit leather tray, and 1 quick release trays. I always take the fruit that I canned and haven’t used from the previous year, drain it and blend it up for fruit leather – so the extra trays will make life so much easier.

Dried baked sliced garnet yam for yam jerky took only 15 hours vs my older model that the highest temperature setting was 115 took +3 days to dry. This model with 160 as the highest temperature setting dried the slided yam in 1/3 of the time.

What a great price on a well rated dehydrator! I love that it comes already with four trays and the 1000 watt blower nicely dries things quickly. I actually didn’t realize it would come with all the jelly roll AND sticky matt sheets. Wowl! This was a fantastic buy at a price better than most other stores.

This is the second dehydrator of this brand that we have had. The original one we had was by a company that was bought out by the present one, but the design is exactly the same.
