These are good dehydrators and I’m on my 3rd one, stacking the trays and getting a new base. My only cons are that I am on my 3rd one (I’ve gotten about 5 years out of each of mine, granted that I use them fairly heavily all summer) and that I can’t buy just the base part anywhere (I don’t need more trays at this point, so it’s a waste of plastic to have to buy a kit with everything). It says you can go up to 30 trays, but I find that more than 8 doesn’t work well for most things and 12 is the max for apples before your drying times slow down quite a bit. Still, a good dehydrator and I’ll definitely get my money’s worth out of it!

The temperature control doesn’t seem to be very accurate and the instruction manual was not useful because it’s not specific to this product. But overall it gets the job done and so far has dried our fruits and veggies evenly.

I was unable to order extra trays from Nesco directly, due to being out of stock. I wondered who else might carry them. It was cheaper overall to order another unit. Thank you Home Depot, for carrying this and having one in stock.

It seems to work fine, Like any dehydrator the temp control needs to be checked against a thermometer when you use it to be sure it’s holding where you want it.

It is heavy.. and more bulky that the old one I had. But I would not send it back unless it carps out on me. I have been using it for the last 3 weeks doing Jerky, oranges, bananas, fruit rollups. Even doing some of the sweet taters for my dog. I will probably wear it out before I do. My old one was through American Harvest. I would give anyone that is wanting to make jerky or dry things as I always have.. this is the one to get.

Having lots of fun with this dehydrator! High quality. Works well. A little on the loud side but tolerable. Have made fruit leathers (YUM!) and dehydrated apple slices which the family were calling “fruit crack-“ we couldn’t stop eating it! Purchased another for a daughter who’s enjoying it as well.

The Nesco Gardenmaster arrived in a plain shipping box (not manufacturer’s packaging), but all parts were in the box. I have used it to dry herbs, and it works well. The only downside to using any dehydrator is finding a place to run it since it is a bit noisy. I’m glad I got this one..it’s easy to use.
