The Nesco FD-1040 Gardenmaster Digital Pro Food Dehydrator is Nesco’s “Top of the Line” unit. More powerful and larger than any other. Expands to a giant 20 trays so you can dry large quantities all at once. 1000-Watt of drying power with top mounted fan means you can dry more, faster. Patented Converga-Flow fan forces heated air up the exterior pressurized chamber, then horizontally across each individual tray, converging in the center, for fast, even and nutritious drying. No flavor mixing. No need for tray rotation.

Used it for pepers. Worked perfect. I especially like the top mounted element and fan. Bottom ones seem to catch all the things that fall through the plastic grates. Easy to just clean the plastic bottom. So far so good!!!!Would definitely recommend this dehydrator.

This is the best food dehydrator I have ever had, packing a big bang with 1000 watts. You can dehydrate, fruits, vegetables, even make jerky. I love the fact the process will only take hours instead of days like in the past. I am growing vegetables and will be using this food dehydrator a lot. The vegetables can be stored for healthy munchies and I might even experiment to see if they can be rehydrated for future use, not sure about that yet, but I think it will be possible. With so many recalls on vegetables and fruits, this is really one of the best ways to make your own healthy snacks without preservatives. I absolutely recommend this item.

Good budget dehydrator. Seals well with its semi locking shelfs, heats pretty evenly from top to bottom tray(With the standard 4 included trays), sturdy enough youll only break it if careless. The digital timer is a very pleasant feature, it auto’s to stopwatch when you start if you dont set a timer, so its always keeping track of time for you. Give it 5 stars for its price point, Ive used 3 dehydrators personally for my jerky making.

I’ve used this several times now, for dehydrating chicken breast (to use as treats for our three dogs) and for dehydrating mangos. It works very well, cleans up easily and is simple to use. My only ‘surprise’ is that it is noisier than I expected. It also increases the humidity in our kitchen which is where I operate it. The noise certainly isn’t overwhelming, but it is very noticeable. Likewise, the increase in humidity is noticeable, even with our air conditioning running. In the winter this will probably be nice. In the summer, not so much.
