Just finished drying a batch of pears and plums and it worked well. Seems very lightweight in build, but I like the motor being in the top and it’s unique design. Easy to clean. I was disappointed to find it only came with four trays, because it was clearly advertised as a seven tray dehydrator.

Beef jerky is made within 3 to 6 hours depending on the thickness. But fruit takes well over 8 hours. Not sure why, but only tried apples so far. Thats the only reason for the 4 stars. Very quiet compared to other small kitchen appliances. The airflow moves and you can smell what you have hydrating. Overall so far the performance has been good.

For the price, a great dehydrator. The fan placement at the top is preferable to one at the bottom. Easy to use. I recommend buying fruit leather trays as an accessory for messier or wetter items such as jerky.

we have been making jerky since the day I took it home. It works really good, easy to clean. It doesn’t allow you to adjust the heat, but you don’t really need this feature anyways. After the fourth use it started to become little more noisier. Great value.
