I have used this machine several times since I’ve bought it. It is simple to use,semi easy to clean. I just wish it had a drip catching sheet for each section instead of just the bottom. Overall, I’m glad I looked it up at homedepot.com. It’s really worth the savings and works great. The fan that is in the lid helps to evenly dehydrate the food as well as cooking it. I will recommend this machine any day over the more expensive and over priced machines!

I did my research when choosing a dehydrator to make my own venison jerky. The Nesco FD-80 had all the features I was looking for, fast drying, multiple trays, and adjustable temperature settings. had to do what I do not do often and give it 5 stars . Works exactly as described . Temp control is a big plus . the air flow system works very well . Trays are not too flimsy like some dehydrators . made 4 pounds of beef jerky and some hot peppers and it all came out good just the way I wanted it . Dries evenly . Very glad I bought it . It is also not too noisy . You can hear it but only if you are close to it . I have read a lot of complaints on others that they were noisy .I gave it a lot of ” pluses ” because they all apply .This is my second dehydrator . First one ( another brand ) worked good but too flimsy and trays broke easily .
