Nice size food slicer, easy to use and can slice meats from paper thin to about 1/2 inch thick. I tried it with some beef and the slices came out evenly and it is much faster than cutting by hand or even with an electric knife. I thought it may be hard to clean, but it was pretty easy and done within five minutes. The blade is easily removed and the parts are just hand washed with warm soapy water.

It was ok. Not bad, but I needed the smooth blade for cold cuts/salami. The serrated blade “tears” the meat a little. Also, the back support tends to flex backward during use, making for an uneven cut sometimes.Slicing tomatoes and onions went well though.

Very nice slicer for the money. Slices cheese and salami with ease. Slices partially frozen meat for jerky easily. Could use more power but does exactly what I want it to do. If your looking for a non expensive slicer that works well this one is it.

I got this slicer to replace one that I’ve finally killed after 15 years, and I “really” like it!!! It comes out of the box with “Zero” set-up. You just need to wash it before use as it’s covered in a protective oil of some kind, but it’s very simple to clean. Just a quarter turn on the lock knob and the blade comes right off—Note***The blade is “EXTREMELY SHARP”, and will show you no mercy should a finger get a little too close… Trust me… Just flip the tray towards you, push a button on the end of the hinge/rod and the rod slides right out. The tray goes to the sink! The instruction booklet has great photos which make disassembly/reassembly a breeze, and they explain it way better than I just did. The blade is wicked sharp, and it makes plenty of power, cutting effortlessly through semi-frozen beef easily. The adjustment for thickness is trial and error until you get the thickness that you want, but it stays consistent once you find that right spot, and slices are very even no matter if you choose a thick cut or wafer thin. Really simple to operate. I highly recommend this!!!

This is not for shaving! Cut a whole prime rib into 16 slabs in less than five minutes! Easy clean and a great value! Cuts thick better than thin but I like thick sliced anyway!

Works great, runs smoothly, blade mount is plastic, but seems secure. I bought this slicer for slicing ribeye, and kc strips into steaks, so I wish it had a little more travel on the tray. Slicing whole ribeye or kc strip requires angling the cut of meat and dropping it across the blade to start the cut, but it cuts cleanly for it’s entire range of thicknesses. Motor does get warm enough I waited for it to cool between each slab of beef. I doubt it would survive processing a whole deer, but for slicing potatoes, tomatoes, onions, the occasional slab of beef, slicing roast beef, etc… for most home kitchen uses, it works great. I bought it to replace a 6 year old Rival slicer, the Rival handles the steak cutting better, but it’s plastic blade mount failed almost immediately, allowing the blade to fall off and roll away randomly while slicing.

Good slicer for home use. Blade is very sharp and slices up ham and turkey for lunch meat. Unit is fairly small and could not handle a large item to slice. Very simplistic construction for the slide. Blade adjustment is a dial on the side and very easy to use. The only negative so far is the blade is very hard to re-attach after cleaning and you must be very careful not to get cut. Suction cups on the bottom of the unit hold it in place when slicing. There is no adjustment on the blade speed.

I have now used my Nesco 180 W Silver Electric Food Slicer several times without any issues including one use that was about 20 minutes of continuous slicing of salami, cheese, smoked ham, smoked turkey breast and a slab of fresh bacon. It has done a very good job I would recommend this to any Family Kitchen. Disassembly and cleaning is simple and well designed. While it is not commercial grade it is at the high end of consumer grade quality.
