Easy to use. The unit came with starter bags of two different sizes. I think buying the bags on a roll would allow you to customize the bag to the size of the item being stored. I would not use it with liquids seeing that it may vacuum it up. Once sealed the bags stay sealed and have not leaked. I now buy larger quantities and store what i will use later

The Nesco Vacuum Sealer with Bags works great. It is faster and quieter than other sealers I have used, the seal is also slimmer than others I have used giving you more room in the bag and less bag waste. You have two options to seal with, a vacuum and seal and a separate seal button. This seal button can be used to make bags from rolled stock and even make your own custom sized bags like pocket sized snack portions to have ready when you want them. This unit does have to be snapped closed before using and has two easy to use buttons, one on each side to release the top before opening.

This is a foolproof way to get started with vacuum sealing in freezing. One tip: if vacuum sealing things with juices, use the cancel button as soon as juice starts to spread. Then immediately hit the seal only button.
