The AC600 Wi-Fi USB Mini Adapter from Netgear adds dual-band Wi-Fi support to just about any laptop running Microsoft Windows XP or better. Boasting Wi-Fi speeds up to 150 Mb/s (over the 2.4 GHz wireless band) or 433 Mb/s (over 5 GHz), the compact AC600 Wi-Fi Mini-Adapter plugs into an available USB 1.1 or 2.0 port. Designed to work with most Wi-Fi routers, the AC600 Wi-Fi USB Mini Adapter supports push-button setup with WPS-enabled routers, or you use the included setup CD.

I was without WiFi on my laptop for 3 months at home, but it worked at our computer tech’s office. He told me to try a WiFi USB adapter, but the cheap one I bought did not work at all. I got the Netgear AC600 despite it costing over three times as much as the cheap one, and it is well worth the price. Easy and clear installment instructions, unlike the cheap one, and I finally have WiFi again. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this at the beginning of January in 2022. It worked well enough until roughly March/April. That’s when it started dropping the connection more frequently. Now, in May of 2022, it’s basically unusable. Once inserted, I usually get a message that the device has malfunctioned. After removing and inserting 1 to 5 times, it will work….. for ten whole minutes if I’m lucky. Usually I get five minutes or less. Then I get the message that it malfunctioned and the computer can’t recognize it again. I got it working long enough to click “write a review,” give my rating, add a title, and write one sentence of the review…. The netgear I bought in 2014/2015 lasted more than five years, and it would have lasted longer if it hadn’t gotten so banged up. This one couldn’t even make it a whole five months while being treated 100x better. Not happy.

I have an old hand me down computer and the wifi adapter was very old so I decided to give NETGEAR AC600 Dual Band WiFi USB Adapter (A6100) a try. Best decision ever! As soon as I opened the box I was very impressed how sleek and compact, barely noticeable this was. The installation couldn’t of been easier! Now I am connected and my internet is running 4x as fast as it was. I have been using Netgear products for litterly decades. This just proves why! Bravo Netgear you knocked it outta the park with this device!! So if your considering it – trust me you won’t be dissappointed. Good job Netgear and Thank you!!

I have loved everything about Netgear for years. Their USB wifi adapters last for years. CSV is superb if you have any questions. this specific adapter is just for my Windows 10 computer. So easy to install. I own this one and one for win/MAC that I did not even know I had. USe It and forget about it is All I can say it is the BOB of adapters.

Should have bought one sooner. We’ve had Ethernet cables strung across the hallway for years and, even though they were covered, they have been a tripping hazard. The Netgear Adapter has saved us from the bumps and bruises from tripping over the cables.

What are you supposed to, to get the install if you have no cd drive, and the adapter will not connect to the internet for you to download the installation, since it first requires the installation. This seems like something that could have been solved by including a basic install, then once connected to the internet get the full update if needed. Otherwise this is completely useless
