The C6300-100NAS Dual Band Wireless-AC1750 Wi-Fi Cable Modem Router from NETGEAR eliminates the need for a separate cable modem and router. This single device contains an integrated CableLabs certified DOCSIS 3.0 modem along with a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet 802.11ac Wi-Fi router. By combining the cable modem with the router you no longer need to purchase a separate router or rent a cable modem from the cable company.
With dual band Wi-Fi connectivity the C6300 from NETGEAR operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies effectively eliminating most of the interference experienced with traditional 2.4 GHz wireless routers. In addition to dual band functionality, this router features 802.11ac connectivity for a total bandwidth of up to 1750 Mbps. You can also connect Ethernet enabled devices to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired connection. In addition to the four Gigabit Ethernet ports, you will find a single USB 2.0 port on the back of the router allowing you to connect devices such as external hard drives making your files accessible throughout your network.

It is a Wi-Fi cable modem router and it is convenient there is all those things in one and it is supposed to output both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. You can disable whichever of the two you want or leave them both enabled but the 2.4 GHz band does not work. There’s a design flaw in this router because other people who bought this router have had the same issue. But for 5 ghz, it works just fine.

The router seems to work, internet settings may be wrong on my computer, have not had easy time over last 4 weeks, I got to your website, then lost it. Was not sure if you offer a subscription to have router settings on computer checked or someone to help, all of this computer language is not easy of older people to know what it even means. I would be interested in paying a fee to periodically have a check up

Within two weeks of purchasing this modem router the 2.4ghz portion of the network quit working. I tried multiple options to fix it including factory resets and completely redoing my network setup. Of course it was past the time when I could return it to where I purchased, so I registered it with Netgear and began the process of creating a support ticket. The beginning went ok with most of the support being things that I had already done, but I tried them again just to be sure. Once we got to the place where it looked like they were going to have to take the device back because it was actually broken, all support communication stopped. I have messaged multiple times given more than the promised 24-48 hour windows for them to respond, but nothing. I ended up having to completely shut off the wireless router portion of this device, purchase a different wireless router and use this device as simply a modem — a very expensive modem. I would not recommend this router because it is unreliable nor would I recommend Netgear support. They seem to be unreliable as well.
