Eliminate monthly cable modem rental fees with the AC1900 Nighthawk Dual-Band Cable Modem Router from Netgear. This device combines a modem and a router to provide you with both wired and wireless Internet connectivity for your home or office. Setup is simple as it’s equipped with one coaxial port and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for your wired devices. Wireless 802.11b/g/n/ac devices will also be able to connect to this device on the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. Once configured, you’ll be able to achieve speeds of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz connection and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. These enhanced data rates ensure you can stream HD content, download large files quickly, play online games, and much more. The Nighthawk also provides a wide range of security features, including a customized URL to set up a personal FTP server, separate guest network access, Wi-Fi protected access, double firewall protection, and denial-of-service attack prevention.

My Netgear is doing great but I believe it can do better based on the range it covers is too short especially the 5G bandwidth. So work on that, thanks.

Was pretty pleased with this router in the beginning, set up was pretty easy, and we saved money buying our own router than using the internet providers. The only complaint we had was that pur son accidentally reset the router and after he did that, we couldnt set it up the same way, we were forced to register the router even though we didnt have to the first time, and now our internet speeds dont seem to be quite what they were…still works okay, just a little different. We could use a faster router anyway, would still probably stay with netgear would just like a gig router.

Works great now the cable company removed an ancient filter from the line outside. 640mps down and 24mps up, both better the cable companies specs. Easily provides more than enough bandwidth with more than 13 devices when the kids are here The only thing I haven’t succeeded in doing is using the USB for a shared hard drive.

We’re a large family (household of 8) and with all the devices PLUS virtual school and work now, we needed something that could keep up with the pandemic induced demand. This does that beautifully.
